Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival is the region’s longest-running music festival for 17 years. The 18th edition of the festival was conceptualized and executed by Done Events which was held from February 26th to 28th 2020 at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre
The challenge posed was on the team of done Event was a huge one, and they built their objective around it. Their main aim, thus, was to make it a record-breaking show with the highest tickets sale and provide entertainment of the largest and never-seen-before scale for the audience.
A huge lineup of Miss Lauryn Hill, Lionel Richie, One Republic, Spyro Gyra, Bruno Major & Sammy Miller performed at the 18th edition who each individually wowed the audiences across all three nights. The stellar music lineup was complemented by multiple Sponsor activations & experiences for further audience engagement. Multiple Food & Beverage setups also enhanced the consumer experience. A significant challenge was faced by the Done Events team to ensure that the 18th edition was its most successful yet both Financially (Sponsorship revenue, Ticket sales, etc) but also on the consumer experience side.
Various sponsor-led activations and experiences were designed for higher audience engagement. The three-day event was set to wow the crowd with lip-smacking food, non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverage setups from both, local and globally famous brands.
Over 32,000 attendees visited the Festival across all three days. Global Food brands participated in the Festival such as Pizza Express, Wingstop, Noodle House & Gelato Divino who were positioned alongside local outlets such as The Roost, Meat Avenue among others.
The Ripe Market also returned with their Festival pop-up for the second year running. Typically attracting 1,000s each weekend at the Dubai Police Academy, over 10 local businesses featured selling unique products across all three evenings.
Overall, the 18th edition of Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival was so smashing that people get bowled over, forgetting even the scale of the past events.
