CEAT has always stood for its users’ safety on and off the road. It decided to start 2020 by extending this philosophy to the lesser-known, but high footfall, Indian Melas. More than 70 large Melas are celebrated in India annually. All these Melas see large scale human congregation. People of all ages come in thousands to answer their spiritual callings.

Such mega-events are generally chaotic affairs. Visitors face many challenges; main amongst these are getting access to medical assistance in case of emergencies.

Amit Tolani, Vice President – Marketing, CEAT Tyres, said, “We wanted to develop a solution that connected with our target audience and addressed some of their major safety concerns, that the authorities face in mega-events like Melas.”

With this insight, SAND Network developed & executed the clutter-breaking idea of – “Suraksha Express”

Ashish Kakkar, Executive Director, SAND Network, “Suraksha Express not only personifies CEAT’s philosophy of Safety but also reinforces its key belief of making mobility safer and smarter for everyone”
Bike ambulance having all the basic facilities like that of a regular ambulance was designed to provide quick & convenient access to medical facilities to visitors in case of emergencies.

Suraksha Express was manned by a trained paramedic who was trained in giving first-aid
Suraksha Express enabled quick & convenient access to the medical center, which otherwise is a cumbersome task in such crowded events.
CEAT launched Suraksha Express in Khajuraho Mahashivratri Mela held in Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh from February 21st 2020 to February 25th 2020. Going forward company aims to use this concept in other Melas and mega-events.
