YOLO Entertainment Umaid Bhavan Palace, Rajasthan Motwane Entertainment and Weddings

The Umaid Bhavan Palace, Rajasthan was chosen as a venue for the royal wedding celebration of Rajat and Darshana from January 28th to 30th, 2020. All the ceremonies were executed and managed perfectly by YOLO Entertainment according to the brief shared by the couple and the family.

The wedding was a warm and intimate affair with attention to every small detail and every guest in attendance. Their goal was to have the most magnanimous celebrations for Rajat & Darshana, to create magical and beautiful memories for a lifetime in the best way possible with attention to every personalization and detail. The family was very particular about every small detail of the wedding including artists, decor, planning, props and more.

Rajat and his family were surprised with a vintage car pick-up at their arrival in Jodhpur and were brought to the palace. All the families were welcomed with the Maharaja Welcome at the palace with great pomp and show.

The celebrations kickstarted with an intimate Welcome dinner at Front Lawn. The theme for the evening was an enchanted forest. The decor was beautifully executed by Devika Sakhuja with thematic florals and furniture. The bride was royally welcomed into the palace on a horse chariot escorted by Mashaal men. Entertainment for the night included the host Siddharth Sood and Singh’s Unplugged who mesmerized the guests with their performance followed by DJ Shadow for the after-party. The after-party had a psychedelic theme and was held at Marwar Hall. The entrance of this party was made into a tunnel with LED frames on the side and psychedelic neon props and costumes for ambient dancers.

The next day, the bride and groom’s family began with a friendly cricket match at Lancer Lawn which ended with a presentation ceremony with a couple of fun prizes. The guests also indulged in Live size Jenga and snakes and ladders, and other activities making it an afternoon with all kinds of fun!

The host for the afternoon was none other than Raghav Juyal who showed off his ‘cockroach dance’ moves and left all guests asking for more. The sensational Manasi Scott was the artist for the afternoon.

The Sangeet was an extravagant affair at the majestic Mehrangarh Fort where the bride and groom had a grand entrance along the procession. The gold and white decor for the evening was beautifully executed with a heavy floral arrangement, an island bar, and mirror furniture. Manasi Scott hosted the evening with special performances by the families. The party witnessed a power-packed performance by Navraj Hans who had all guests dancing to his tunes and DJ Akhtar took over continuing the celebrations till dawn.

Gearing up for an eventful day ahead, Rajat and Darshana engaged in pre-wedding functions accompanied by their close ones. A poolside lunch was set up with an explosion of color for all guests. Charu Semwal swayed the guests with her melodious voice.

The wedding ceremony at Baradari Lawn was a royal set-up with a grand Baraat procession comprising of a vintage car, horse chariot and elephant, all in one! The groom was very particular about his grand entrance and the Baraat was made exhilarating with DJ Vicky’s music. The bride had a beautiful entrance with Ganga Aarti which was picturesquely captured by the talented photographers and videographers from The Wedding Journals of India. The Varmala was followed by fireworks - an extravaganza experience adorning the night sky created by Ahmed Morani from Morani Fireworks. The Storyteller took over the evening with their infectious performance followed by the Pheras. The decor theme for the evening was all things royal in red and gold. The lawn was covered with candle beds and thematic furniture with fresh florals. The bell-shaped Mandap was beautifully executed with the palace as the backdrop.

The ceremony had ‘Hookah Royals’ for Sheesha and ‘Drinq' for bartending across the 3 days. A 24-hour hospitality desk was set-up, customized program booklets and a 24-hour hospitality lounge providing refreshments, a salon facility by Truefitt & Hill, customized hampers and more. Multiple hotels for the crew and artists, multiple flights and every guest was given a personal experience along the way. All in all, the wedding was ensured to be an amalgamation of luxury and comfort.
