Toast Events Executes an Annual Celebration for Karix at Grand Hyatt Mumbai

Karix, mobile engagement & communication provider gave the mandate to TOAST Events to manage the project from end-to-end for their annual celebration. The event was hosted in December, at Grand Hyatt Mumbai and brought to life the City of Karixville – a testament to the power of the brand and how it helps its customers build their businesses from scratch, powering their life with smart solutions.
Conceptualized and executed by TOAST, the event saw the stage completely transformed into a city with buildings that were lit up, and a grand performance area for top artists like Vishal-Shekhar, Jonita Gandhi and Zakir Khan.
Bringing the concept of Karixville to life from the invite, TOAST created a special box that included a Passport that detailed out all the elements of the event, a mini-van that guests could metaphorically hop-on to, to get to the event and some chocolates to keep their energy high.
The event kicked off with Leeza Mangaldas opening the grand night followed by spectacular performances by Jonita Gandhi, Vishal Shekhar who belted out their top tunes like Ghunghroo, Bala etc. Taking the stage next were DJ-duo Nina-Malika who kept the audiences on their toes till the wee hours of the morning. Also having the audience in splits was ace performer Zakir Khan.
The bar had an LED ticker integrated in its design, while they projected the event LIVE on water installation that was a part of the pre-function area. Anyone who outside did not miss the event taking place inside. A kaleidoscopic photobooth gave the guests ample opportunity to create some fabulous content that they posted on social media.
Cara Dsouza, spearheading the project said, “The concept of Karixville was unique and a first for the brand. It was our endeavor to bring these cities to life through every element and experience designed for the brand. Since music is a very strong part of the brand’s annual celebration, we worked with the team to curate artists that would provide this larger than life experience to the guests.”
Teejay, Design Team, TOAST Events, said, “We wanted to create an experience of a Futuristic City. Keeping this in mind we designed a space that connects everyone, Client, Partners, and Customers as one part of Karixville. The colors used emphasized how bright and colorful the future could be with Karix, with a combination of technology and art. We’re thrilled with the response we received from the client as well as guests on the integration of the brand’s aesthetics into the design and the unique elements created to bring these designs to life.”
Amit Sharma, Operations, TOAST Events, said, “The biggest challenge that we faced was erecting a complete city structure on stage, enough for it to look as realistic as possible for our guests. But the finished product gave us immense satisfaction. We’re thrilled to have managed an event of such huge magnitude, where every detail was minutely looked into, right from colors, to material, to performances. The feedback from the client was extremely positive, and we’d love to work with the brand again.”
