Highlights from the Production Manager's Forum at the LIVE Quotient Awards 2019

Production Manager's Forum LQ Summit & Awards 2019 ESA

Event Show Asia, Mumbai edition, co-located with the LIVE Quotient Summit and Awards under the aegis of the WOW Awards Asia was held on 30th October 2019 at Hotel Sahara Star. ESA is the quintessential networking platform for experts in the experiential and entertainment industry showcasing all things ‘New in Event Trends and Innovations’. 

Event Show Asia - Mumbai marked the launch of the Production Manager’s Forum – a platform to share ideas and to create opportunities for the larger industry to interact with trained professionals from the production backgroud who have been a part of the industry for a while now and who understand the role and importance of a Production Manager. The sessions in the forum featured expert panel discussions on different aspects of event production.

Our first session in the Production Manager’s Forum was ‘Girls in Production, Really?’. Parul Mundra, Production Manager, Production Crew, spoke on how women are making a name in this challenging career. 

The second session at the Production Manager’s Forum was ‘Are you FUTURE ready?’. Mihir Sutaria, Offsite Technical Producer, Facebook India Online Services spoke on the topic and enlightened the audience with his vision for the future. He with his excellent presentation took the audience through his visionary insights and made them think if they are ready for the future. 

Our next session in the Production Manager’s Forum was a journey in itself. Rahul Bhasin took the audience on a tour into his journey on ‘Production Managers to Producers’. The session was informative as he gave meaningful insights and also answered many questions asked by the audience.

The next session was on ‘Pre Event Production Planning & Checklists’. Shrijit Patil from Production Crew explained the audience everything that goes behind making an event a spectacle. Everything that goes before during the pre-event production planning how they tick the boxes on the checklists. 

Our first panel discussion was ‘Ask Us Anything on Large Scale Events & Festivals’. Ali Safdar Zaidi, COO, Scoop Brand Holdings moderated the session and the speakers at this session were Vinay Agarwal, Live Events & IPs, BookMyShow LIVE; Vikram Jagdev, Director, Operations, THOT Media; Jattin Gulati, Executive Producer – Live Entertainment, BookMyShow LIVE; Dinesh Shetty, Director, Production Crew; Rodney Rodney Barnes, Production Manager & Technical Director and Rahul Bhasin where they answered all the questions related to Large Scale Events & Festivals through their discussions.

The Production Manager’s Forum concluded with a panel discussion on ‘Ask Us Anything on Health & Safety’. Here Rodney Barnes, Production Manager & Technical Director, Bad Boy Productions; Rohan Oberoi, Founder & CEO, Momentum India; Khushroo Kekobad, Director, Live On Stage Entertainment; Vikas Menon, Director, Production Crew; Rahul Bhasin; Saurav Takyar, Production Head, Production Crew; Vaibhav Kapoor, Head Projects, Third Wave Services and Avishkar Tendle, Managing Director, Natura answered various questions on health and safety at events.
