Zomaland, Zomato’s grand food and entertainment carnival served more than 100,000 visitors across Delhi, Pune, and Bangalore in its debut 2018-19 editions to a weekend full of food discovery and entertainment; While attendees were overheard saying ‘this feels like home’ and swearing they would come back for more. Attendees also raved about stellar live performances by Divine, Nucleya, Ritviz, Lucky Ali, Jay Sean, and had bursts of laughter to stand up by Rohan Joshi, Kunal Kamra, Varun Thakur.

After an incredibly positive response from both visitors and restaurants alike, Zomaland is finally back - bigger and better, with a diverse new range of restaurant pop-ups and thumping performances across 10 cities. Zomato has also signed Toyota as the presenting partner for the calendar year 2019-20 – aptly titling it Toyota Zomaland.

This year, Zomato’s packed events calendar will host two formats - Toyota Zomaland and Zomaland Picnic. While Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Pune will turn into carnival cities with larger-than-life installations at Toyota Zomaland; Jaipur, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Chennai, and Ahmedabad will join the party with food, fun and frolic visiting their city in the form of a two-day mini carnival, Zomaland Picnic. Central to all adaptations of the food carnival, every city will enjoy a stellar line-up of performances, stunning attractions with scintillating photo opportunities, games for all ages and some of the most celebrated restaurants.

Announcing the second season, Gaurav Gupta, Founder & COO, Zomato, said, “We are always seeking opportunities to add to our user experience and Zomaland was the perfect addition last year. Combining the best of food and entertainment, curation of the most unique food zones by cuisines and introducing a carnival-themed play zone, larger than life installations with fun-filled activities, was a great hit and left folks raving. We received tonnes of requests from our users to bring the carnival to their cities and are glad to expand to seven more cities with this edition. We look forward to driving more and more dining-out experiences for users in collaboration with our restaurant partners.”

This year, Zomaland has received immense support from partner brands including Toyota who have come on board as presenting partners. Believing in a ‘customer first’ philosophy, this association is a result of Toyota’s constant endeavour to enhance the customer experience. Toyota believes that Toyota Zomaland will be a great platform for curating fun & unique experiences especially for the target audience of ‘Young first time Toyota Buyers’.

Co-Partners TikTok, the world's leading short-video app, will host ‘TikTok Theatre’ where India’s most loved comedians and music artists will deliver their creative performances. Popular TikTok creators will cover the carnival festivities, artists, and drool-worthy food offerings by creating engaging content for their fans on TikTok.

The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) partners with Zomato to bring a flavour of Singapore food and entertainment to Toyota Zomaland attendees through a Singapore Experience Zone. As part of its continuing efforts to engage the Indian consumers in innovative ways, it looks forward to participating in this important consumer outreach initiative across 10 cities. In line with its brand Passion Made Possible, the Board will highlight culinary offerings, appealing to the foodie tribe. The zone will also have fun and engaging activities aimed at enticing attendees to come and live up their travel passions in Singapore.
