Food and travel go hand-in-hand - there is no better way to experience the soul of a culture than through its food. The X Food Festival is an opportunity to go on a food adventure without stepping out of the city! It is the rarest and most exotic food from India and the world, cooking demos, talented chefs, fellow foodies, local and international specialties that are unique, remote, rare and in some cases, extreme.

The first edition of the ISUZU X Food Festival is on November 16th and 17th 2019 at the Turf Club, Mahalaxmi at the start of the racing season.

The ISUZU X Food Festival is curated by veteran experts of Indian gastronomy - Kunal Vijayakar, Michael Swamy, Nicole Mody and Tara Deshpande have identified talented chefs that showcase the rare ingredients, recipes, food and experiences not commonly available in Mumbai.

Promoted and produced by 70 EMG, the X Food Festival explores the conventional and unconventional food preferences of India and the world.

The X Bazaar at the ISUZU X Food Festival is a curated food market selling some of the world’s rarest ingredients. The X Food Trail will showcase regional and international restaurants serving authentic Naga food, Tibetan delicacies, Nepali specialties, and Ladakhi local cuisine.

“India’s preferred lifestyle and adventure pick-up, V-Cross has been offering a new lease of life to many adventure seekers and travel enthusiasts. ISUZU has enabled many to explore, experiment and experience new cultures and culinary delights in all its expeditions. Today, by partnering with the ‘X Food festival’, ISUZU connects with a new breed of people who would like to explore food through travel and adventure. We are happy to be associated with the event and will continue to nurture the ‘Never Stop’ spirit in India” said, Shankar Srinivas, Vice President – Service & Customer Relations, External Affairs & PR, Isuzu Motors India.

ISUZU will be organizing food discovery drives as part of its iV-League initiative: From Mumbai to Uran, Chandigarh to Barog and Kochi to Alleppey.

The ISUZU X Food Festival also provides an opportunity to get the first-hand experience with food workshops including the plating workshop, beekeeping, specialized knife skills, beer-making workshop, working with waste food and more.

“Amongst the myriad joys of traveling, few have a greater impact and create a more lasting memory than a memorable meal, plate of food, or even a simple street-side snack. And we just loved the idea of bringing the world’s most outrageous, exotic and truly different food to Mumbai, and serving it alongside the regional gems of India’s restaurant scene. That’s the essence of the Festival – celebrating the connectedness of all of us by celebrating the genuinely local provenance of food. We’ve been working on the ISUZU X Food Festival for some time now, and we hope that you’ll enjoy it just as much as we intend to”, said Martin da Costa, CEO 70 EMG.

The first edition of the ISUZU X Food Festival is on November 16th and 17th 2019 at the Turf Club, Mahalaxmi at the start of the racing season.
