Success stories seem to be the mantra of the Global Wedding Academy (GWA) by Wizcraft MIME. In just one year, the academy has created more successful entrepreneurs and cut-above-the-rest professionals, to take advantage of this recession-proof and burgeoning wedding market.
With skilled professionals competent enough to tap and shape the flourishing wedding industry, the Global Wedding Academy (GWA) by Wizcraft MIME has raised the stakes in favour of Indian wedding planners once again.
On August 31, 2019, GWA will see the commencement of a new batch of students who wish to learn from the very best in the industry. The course that is delivered at the state-of-the-art DICE Academy premises at India Bulls, Mumbai, is 26+ weeks, power-packed curriculum with more on-ground learnings and enviable masterclasses by the most-sought-after names in the events and media world.
GWA by Wizcraft MIME launched its 18+ week Wedding Management Certification course in September 2018. In no time, the programme created waves as it brought together a master faculty of the whos-who in the business, while its pedagogy included a revolutionary curriculum covering live events, event walkthroughs, market visits, warehouse sessions, and workshops. Support from the wedding planning agencies and event companies, students were also incorporated into premier projects and many got secure placements among leading companies.
Student Isha Thakore Das recalls, “Being part of GWA by Wizcraft MIME opened doors to a permanent position at one of the most sought-after companies in India. I have had the opportunity to work on some fantastic weddings in India and overseas and the learnings from GWA are invaluable in the process.”
As a wedding planner, Neenu Kewlani feels elated that she can touch someone’s life by turning their dream wedding into a reality. “I am grateful to GWA for giving me that power to imagine, the power to create magic, and touch the lives of those who have a dream.”
“When I joined this course, I was not clear about my forte”, says Shreshta Anchan, “but as the course unfolded, I discovered my passion towards wedding décor and mainly towards floral décor. I then understood my passion for florals and started my own organisation in floral gifting.”
Each of the 30 Chosen ones of Batch 1 has its own tale of glory and enrichment. The new batch can expect to write their own stories of passion, new learnings and growth in their careers as wedding planners and entrepreneurs. This certification course is accredited by the Media and Entertainment Skills Council of India and Wizcraft MIME.
