Tamarind Global planned and managed a gorgeous wedding with around 700 guests at The Ritz Carlton, Doha from 7th to 10th March 2019. It was a multi-themed wedding with decor inspired by different parts of the globe.

The first-day welcome was an eclectic Sufi Bedouin themed night where Javed Ali accompanied by Dervish dancers took the guests to a Sufi era. There was another section in this venue which was converted into a cosy low seated lounge under the fairy lights with a huge screen where the couples’ favourite movie “Dilwale Dhulanya Le Jayenge” was screened. It was followed by an after-party.

On the next day, the Haldi ceremony was a unique celebration on the beach with a theme of ‘Rangon ki Holi’ - an upbeat, high energy function which was different than other conventional Haldi rituals. The guests who wore all white were given scarves for each side, sunblock, sunglasses, hair ties, face wipes and more essentials along with plates of holi colour to commence the madness.

The party had infectious energy with Paris House Addict playing some of their dance numbers and Jassi and RMAK  making sure everyone in the audience was dancing. The family put up some fun performances and DJ Ganesh took over. As guests indulged in a lavish food spread and drinks, the musicians set the perfect mood for the celebrations. The ambience was colourful and casual with live music and thriving performances. The guests also indulged in Zorb Football, live size Jenga and other activities, making this one of the most rocking events of the entire wedding.

The Sangeet was a royal set-up with special performances from Urban Singh Crew, the bride and groom entering through a split LED and putting up a fabulously choreographed performance with AV and skit, dance acts, a spectacular performance by Rahul Vaidya and an after-party. The décor was elegant with intricate motifs perfectly complimenting the evening.

The Baraat which was made exhilarating by Jassi, RMAK and DJ Ganesh led into the Palm Garden lawn where a minimal and elegant varmala and the wedding ceremonies started. It was followed by a grand reception with performances by Jonita Gandhi and multiple dance acts by Kathak Rockers and Priyanka & Poonam.

Right from the airport, Tamarind Global worked with the PM’s office, top customs and immigration authorities, Al Maha and Qatar Airways to execute an unprecedented airport arrival service for all the guests.
