RBZ Group and Harit Zaveri, the renowned jewellers from Ahmedabad, wanted their son’s wedding to be a tale to be remembered. It was a three-day event organized in Ahmedabad itself. They wanted the Mehendi function to be in a traditional style filled with colours. For the sangeet, the client wanted richer and more elegant décor with shades of blue mixed with yellow lights and indulgence of softness with floral designing. While for the wedding and reception the client wanted to be artistic and embellished with grace in a way that makes everybody go startled. Hence, the planner used more of a floral blend with artefacts and mirror work that created an artistic impression. There was no chance of letting go of anything which is why a lot of time in execution as well as simplifying things for the team was consumed.
The client requirement was very clear as they wanted the bride entry to be exceptional which could be a tale to talk. They were specific about food as much renowned fame from their field was being invited which was their major concern.
They wanted the Mehendi event to be traditional with minimal elements as it was a close-knit family affair which was more about enjoyment. Everybody enjoyed dancing on the numbers which were being choreographed and practiced. For the sangeet, many themes from Moroccan to Indo-western fusion was suggested but all they wanted was an event to be in the shades of blue with lights and with a blend of artefacts which could give a glimpse of moonlight.
Amit Mishra, the well-known Bollywood playback singer performed and kept the guests engaged in the fun. The Wedding was decked up with carnations, orchids, hydrangea, and greens – creating floral hangings and tassels that merged with the mirror elements. Vidhi mandap was uplifted with the stage 30x30ft and 2ft height having a floral backdrop with Shreenathji god creation.
A Delhi based caterer was called who styled the food in a restaurant theme. The bride’s entry was elegant with the Ganga Aarti being played in the background that purified the air of that night while the bride walked towards the groom accompanied by dhup and diyas.
The decision maker of this wedding was the groom himself. There were just three days left for the event and the stage was not been finalized. Keyur Patel, Founder & MD, Prasang Events and Weddings, shared, “We didn’t have any clarity before the event started, they wanted a separate stage for the vidhi mandap and varmala stage. The weather was a major concern as the client was worried about the wind in winter as most guests were of old age. We faced issue in hotels as the client had booked Novotel, Hyatt Regency, Pride hotels in Ahmedabad. We have arranged for the hospitality of 200 rooms in total for 420 guests across India”.
“After all the issues we managed to complete the events successfully with happiness and in a manageable form. The client was impressed with our execution and his major concerns were flawlessly executed. From the different conception and variety of restaurants as per food which gave everybody the feel of sitting into the restaurant having dinner instead of having wedding dine-in. We don't really understand our power till the client throws us some googly and we end up creating magic”, Keyur concluded.
This gorgeous wedding had guests come over from all parts of India, and were hosted at multiple luxury hotels.
