Over INR 50 Lakhs Raised at Mpower WOW: Meet Our First Bid Winners

Mpower WOW, an initiative to eliminate the stigma around mental illness in the event and entertainment industry, provide education and support to a community of event professionals working under extremely stressful conditions was associated with WOW Awards and Convention Asia 2019. Mpower, Wizcraft, EEMA, and WOW Awards Asia proactively championed mental health causes, created awareness, and advocated prevention through an address by Neerja Birla, Founder and Chairperson, Mpower, followed by a signing of a pledge to #stampoutstigma.

As part of Mpower WOW, almost 40 leading performing artists have come forward and pledged their support for the initiative, with one free commercial performance being offered to the event industry as part of an auction from over 1000 to close to 1800 delegates from the event and wedding industry in attendance at the WOW Awards Asia 2019. 100% of the proceeds generated will go to the Mpower - the Foundation to further the cause of mental wellness, through specific initiatives and workshops produced across the country for the event industry.

While majority of the artists were part of the Silent Auction which was launched at the WOW Awards Asia 2019, to highlight the auction and the contribution of the artists, four selected artists – Benny Dayal, Jonita Gandhi, Harshdeep Kaur & Sachin- Jigar were part of the Public auction at the WOW Awards Celebrations, featuring the event industry’s favourite auctioneer: Mandeep Singh, Management Director, CPM India. The Live auction generated over Rs 50 lakhs through committed buyers. Samit Garg, Reema Sanghvi and Nehal Shah were amongst the first Bid Winners at the LIVE Mpower WOW Auction that took place at the WOW Awards Asia 2019.

Samit Garg, CEO & Co-founder, E Factor won the bid for singers Benny Dayal and Harshdeep Kaur at the LIVE Auction. 

Reema Sanghavi, Managing Director- Maximus MICE & Media Solutions Pvt Ltd won the bid for singer Jonita Gandhi.

Nehal Shah, Awoke Events won the bid for singer duo Sachin- Jigar at this LIVE auction.

The silent auction would continue as more artists have joined the inaugural Mpower WOW Auction for Artiste performances.

Most leading event companies have already registered to be a part of the Mpower WOW Auction. The last day to receive the bids will be 20th July 2019. 

Be a Part of the Cause. Here’s How to Bid:

1. Send in your bids to mpower@wowawards.com with your name, company name, contact details and your bid by July 20th, 2019.

2. Winners will be announced on July 21st, 2019 at 2 pm.

3. If you win the bid, you will be required to deposit 20% of the price as an advance payment.

4. The artist can be used within 6 months at a mutually available date as part of the terms of the agreement.

5. Remaining 80% of the amount to be deposited at the time of booking and confirming the artist.
