KEMA Organises Panel Discussion On ‘Licensing In Event Industry’ In Bangalore

The Karnataka Event Management Association (KEMA), on account of its monthly general body meeting, organized a panel discussion on Licensing in Event Industry. Mr Shridhar R - Regional Manager Karnataka - NOVEX Communication Pvt Ltd and Mr Rasheed Sait - MD - George P Johnson were a part of this panel discussion. The event also saw the launch of ‘Incubation centre’ for the Event Industry, a first of its kind in the space of events across the country. It was held at Hotel Shangri La, one among the top luxury hotels of Bangalore.
Speaking on the occasion of the event, Mr. Sanjeev Kapoor, President of KEMA said “I am absolutely delighted to see the response from the event industry of Karnataka as a whole. What started as a small group of people 3 months ago have now become almost 150, strong and growing. Our aim is to collaborate and to address all issues faced by event companies including licensing, start-ups, venues, legal, etc. Going forward, we wish to have such activities on a regular basis to bridge gaps and work in unison by sharing our share of experiences and supporting fellow members run their establishments hassle free. This will not only improve the quality of the organizations, but will also help us as event organizations are more planned and successful in meeting requirements of our clients.”
KEMA began with an effort to bring all Event Management Professionals of Karnataka at one place to discuss latest development in the world of Event Management, represent as an association with a unified voice that leads dialogue within its members and with the government Statutory Bodies, Taxation Authorities, Private and Municipal Licensing Bodies, Corporate Industry, Vendors and Artists. Going forward KEMA will be setting Industry Standards that will guide its members and prescribe a Code of Conduct for its members and their employees safeguarding their interests in the Industry.
