7th Edition of The Edutainment Show Ends on a High Note With More Than 7000 Students

The 7th edition of India’s largest design and media education conclave, ‘The Edutainment Show’, witnessed more than 7000 students over two days. A huge success, 'The Edutainment Show' was organised by Event Capital, a division of Laqshya Media Group, at Hotel Sahara Star, Mumbai and inaugurated by Deepak Choudhary, Founder & Director of Event Capital.

A perfect platform for aspiring students, the "The Edutainment Show" offered students exciting career opportunities in alternative fields such as journalism, PR, advertising, event management, fashion, designing, etc. along with a chance to meet industry experts and bigwigs who shared their experiences, while motivating the students.

Some of the prominent speakers on Day 2 included Dr. Annurag Batra, Chairman and Editor Businessworld who highlighted the changing landscape in media careers; Fashion Blogger Scherezade Shroff shared her views on how blogging can be a new career option; Kamiya Jani, Founder Curly Tales highlighted how digital marketing is getting bigger day by day; Aparshakti Khurana shared his insights with the students through a masterclass; Sonal Dabral gave tips to students on how they can have a career in Design.

Renowned critic and founder of Film Companion Anupama Chopra had a Fireside chat with Prathamesh Jadhav while sharing her insights on the world of critics and cinema; Pravinsinh Solanki explained the 'D for design' by NID; Other speakers including actor and writer, Sumeet Vyas said, “At the end of the day, our relationship with others matter a lot. No matter where we go, we should never forget our roots.” Storyteller Amandeep Singh said, “We should not wait for anyone to tell us anything. Instead, we should go out and do it. Famous YouTuber Sahil Khattar said, “It is about All Killer, No Filler. The future of digital content is right now in our hands. Mobile phone is the future. 92% of the data has been generated across the globe in the past one year.” Singer and Music Director, B Praak, said, “Never stop dreaming. Talent is always appreciated. With the advent of digital media, it has become easy for today’s generation to reach the right audience.”

The conclave witnessed 'The Story of YouTubers' with Divya Rao, Carry Minati and Prajakta Koli who shared their journey with the students. They explained how good content and patience is needed to ace the digital world today further adding, "Skill sets like patience, smart work, being oneself and never taking their audience for granted will go a long way".
There were various workshops organized on Day 2, conducted by young talent including Phone Photography by Karl Kohl; A brand called you by Janak Vadgama; Creative art technique by Aarti Sasane; Exploring illustration by Zainab Tambawalla amongst others.

Speaking on the success of the event, Deepak Choudhary, Co-Founder & Director of Event Capital, said, “We are happy with the response we have received this year. This year, the show has scaled to new heights. We are aiming to make it much bigger with wider opportunities for students next year.”
