Club Mahindra Launches Mission S.M.I.L.E.S to Improve Life Experiences of the Underprivileged

Club Mahindra launched an annual initiative - Mission S.M.I.L.E.S. (Social Movement to Improve Life Experiences) under its Employee Social Options Program (ESOP) on February 26, 2019. As part of this, all Club Mahindra employees pledged to cumulatively devote 5000 hours annually in Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives focusing on education, health, and environment. To begin with, 180 employees and Club Mahindra members devoted a full working day to support the development of infrastructure at Shree Ganesh Vidya Mandir School in Dharavi, Mumbai.
Kavinder Singh, MD, and CEO, Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Ltd said, “Inspired by Mahindra Group’s ‘Rise for Good’ philosophy, we have launched Mission S.M.I.L.E.S which will provide local communities across India the opportunity to build better lives through improved access to education, healthcare and environment. We want to encourage our employees and our valued Club Mahindra members to become agents of social change. Mission S.M.I.L.E.S is a collective investment of our time and skills, and we are hopeful that through this initiative we will be able to drive positive change across all sections of the community.”
At Shree Ganesh Vidya Mandir School in Dharavi, Mumbai the employees participated in activities like wall painting, mural painting, beautifying school premises, bench refurbishment and making creative visual learning charts.
