Chikoo Festival Back with its 2nd Season Conceptualized by ILeaf Connects.

Another feather in the cap for iLeaf Connects who were the event consulting agency which conceptualized, curated and executed the Chikoo Festival 2019 for the second consecutive year. 

In a nutshell the iLeaf connects, was instrumental in the conceptualization, management, curation, and execution of the entire festival which had 250+ stalls, 40+ food stalls, 15+ performances and a mammoth crowd of 1.4+ lakh visitors over days. Visibility of the festival in terms of its creatives, its marketing policies both offline and online to having Radio City to partner on board for the event was effectively executed by the team. The tremendous success of the festival speaks volumes of the hard work and efforts put in by iLeaf connects.  

 Chikoo Festival - a non-profit initiative in association with Rural Entrepreneur Welfare Foundation (REWF) is one of the biggest rural festival of Maharashtra and Ileaf connects - an event Media agency is proud to be associated with it. The festival aims at boosting the rural economy giving an impetus to the local entrepreneurs. The project is supported by the  Adivasi Vikas Vibhag, Maharashtra Shasan for Tribal Community Welfare in the newly formed North Konkan district of Palghar.  Over the years the festival has gained popularity to the extent of getting noticed from the makers of  Incredible India in the current year.

 The 2-day festival was a well-designed package of art, culture, shopping, entertainment, activities, and performances all happening simultaneously.  The festival witnessed a grand opening by the dhol tasha pathak band from Mumbai coupled with a traditional lazim performance culminating into the flag-raising of the event.

Space was well designed and fragmented into different zones where each zone had its own flavor and vibrancy. The shopping zone harbored around 250+ stalls selling merchandise from local entrepreneurs giving them the much-required visibility and boost. The Food zone had more than 40+ smiling owners serving hot delicious food and beverages to satiate your food buds. A special hygiene protocol was laid by the iLeaf connects team which the food stall owners had to follow.  An interesting cookery show was conducted by the well-known celebrity Master Chef Smita Dev and Asma Khan.

The activity zone saw a plethora of activities to keep visitors of all age groups engaged. Few interesting ones which one would have loved to indulge in were warli painting, pottery, sketching, calligraphy, earthen toy making etc. 

 Adventure enthusiasts had themselves covered as well from the fascinating chikoo wine yard tour tasting different flavored chikoo wines to camping overnight on the Bordi beach with star gazing. 

The show stopper was however, the cultural programs happening on both days. Be it a musical or dance performance by the tribal and local talents left the visitors truly enthralled asking for more. A cocktail fusion of folk performances-Way Of Warli which showcased the traditional tarpa, bohada and dhol dance during the day to a scintillating live performance by MTV bollyland winner Saurabh Save in the evening performers from all over Maharashtra like Mardani Khel from Pune, a Puppet show from Kokan, Dhol tasah Pathak from Mumbai set the stage on fire.  Mumbai base band Folk masti and Shrinath Iyer have raised the entertainment bar to another level.
