Dome@NSCI Hosts 'Lokmat Maharashtrian of the Year Award' Managed by Pentagon Events

Dome@NSCI, India’s premier entertainment and leisure destination, hosted the ‘Lokmat Maharashtrian of the Year’ award on February 20, 2019. The awards honour individuals who have dared to dream, not only for themselves but also the society and humankind. It is aimed at recognising their selfless and untiring work across categories, and whose efforts have altered the landscape of Maharashtra from every perspective.  

Lokmat Maharashtrian of the year is the largest non-entertainment awards and one of the marquee initiatives of Lokmat Media which honours exemplary work from across fields like Politics, Administration, Social, Arts, Science, Sports, Entertainment, etc. Some of the most renowned personalities were present at the event like honourable CM, Shri Devendra Fadnavis along with his wife Amruta Fadnavis, Uddhav Thackeray with wife Rashmi Thackeray, Praful Patel, Sunil Shinde, Zarine Khan, and Isha Koppikar among others. This unique event brought the powerful and charismatic Chief of Shiv Sena –Shri  Uddhav Thackeray who was awarded as Power Icon and Shri Devendra Fadnavis together on one stage talking about the alliances between the two parties in the next election. The perstigous awards were designed and executed by Pentagon Events.

Hosted by the esteemed Shweta Shelgaonkar, the ceremony began with a specially curated patriotic performance that was Maharashtra’s ‘Salaam’ to India. The evening continued with videos telling the stories of each winner and congratulating the nominees in every field. The event saw a fireside chat with the current audience favourites Deepika Padukone who was awarded as Iconic Performer and Vicky Kaushal who was awarded as a path-breaking performer, as well as a discussion between honourable Chief Minister, Shri Devendra Fadnavis and Riteish Vilasrao Deshmukh on topics from politics to Chief Minister as a husband. The event also witnessed the immensely followed by public figure ‘Dr. Dattatraya (AppaSaheb) Narayan Dharmadhikari’ who was recognised for his tremendous social work in Maharashtra state. 

Despite getting only 4 days to curate, design and execute this grand event, Pentagon Events, delivered excellence in every aspect. Within 2 days the fabrication of the entire setup with more than 2400sq feet of LED was complete. This event stands to testament to precision planning across the board which allowed the teams of Lokmat and Pentagon to work as one. From capturing every angle of the event with a 6 camera setup to making each dignitary and commoner feel special, every single touchpoint was detailed and delivered.

With over 6000 people to manage and set up the venue in just a couple of days, we overcame this challenge successfully. Additionally, ensuring traffic control and security for our attendees which included top MLAs, VVIPs, celebrities and other known faces from different industries also posed as a complication but once again, we resolved it successfully. Above all, all the logistical concerns were addressed and handled to ensure a smooth, flawless event."
