Cineyug Organizes a Star-Studded Evening for the Mumbai Police Show - Umang

The Mumbai Police Show – Umang is an annual event where the Indian film industry’s biggest faces come together to treat Mumbai’s policemen with special performances. The event was organized on January 27th 2019 at MMRDA Ground, BKC and was scripted, directed, managed and produced by Cineyug Group of Companies, and the production was done by Dome Entertainment. The event witnessed the biggest names from the Bollywood fraternity who performed to entertain the police force in order to show their appreciation and gratitude.

The handsome and humorous Manish Paul reprised his role as the host and entertained the audience. The jovial and witty Malishka too hosted the star-studded evening that featured interesting performances by many big wigs of Bollywood.

Debutante of 2018, Sara Ali Khan set the stage on fire by her first ever performance on her super hit songs. For his debut performance, Vicky Kaushal too kept the josh quite high as he grooved on stage with his Manmarziyaan lead Taapsee Pannu. The ‘Dhadak’ actress Janhvi Kapoor mesmerized the audience as she showed a completely different avatar in her act.

Ranveer Singh, who played a policeman in his latest release, arrived with full energy on stage on an SUV along with an entourage and performed on ‘Ala Re Ala Simmba’. Jacqueline Fernandez, Nushrat Bharucha, Aayush Sharma, Nora Fatehi, Kartik Aryan, Daisy Shah, Yami Gautam and Shreyas Talpade were also amongst the stars who put up exciting performances.

The Khiladi of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar performed a high-adrenaline stunt as an ode to the bravery of the police force. He pulled off a breathtaking dive from the 10th storey of a building that was illuminated in saffron, white and green. As he sailed down, the National Flag unfurled in its full glory and the National Anthem began playing as he landed on ground.

However, that’s not all! The actor, in his police avatar, leaped onto his bike and joined Rohit Shetty on stage. The ace film-maker invited Singham Ajay Devgn and Simmba Ranveer Singh and all of them engaged in a spirited conversation about Bollywood cops and films. The highlight of the event was when the charismatic Amitabh Bachchan recited the inspiring poem ‘Tu Chal’ from his film ‘Pink’ for the fearless female cops and the ladies, who never fail to perform their duties diligently no matter what the circumstances.

The charming Shah Rukh Khan shook a leg on his iconic song ‘Baadshah O Baadshah’. The two talented actors Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor shared the stage and who better than King Khan to interact with them!  Among those who created unforgettable and fun moments on stage were Katrina Kaif, Madhuri Dixit, Saif Ali Khan, Rajkummar Rao, Anil Kapoor, Raveena Tandon, Aamir Khan, Jitendra Joshi and Sachin Tendulkar.

The evening also witnessed singing sensations Sukhwinder Singh, Ayushmann Khurrana, Farhan Akhtar, Himesh Reshammiya, Shaan, Amaal Malik, Sunidhi Chauhan, Palak Muchhal, Neeti Mohan, Tony Kakkar, Neha Kakkar perform to entertain the crowd. Mrs. Amruta Fadnavis, wife of honorable Chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Devendra Fadnavis, also graced the evening and delighted the crowd with her singing performance.

Some more personalities who graced the occasion were Shraddha Kapoor, Dharmendra, Urvashi Rautela, Parineeti Chopra, John Abraham, Urmila Matondkar, Karishma Kapoor, Tabu, Kriti Sanon, Bappi Lahiri, Shilpa Shetty, Shamita Shetty and many more.
