Percept Live Collaborates with Klassique to Co-promote Sunburn Events in Goa

Percept live, the wholly owned subsidiary of Percept Ltd. has announced a collaboration with Goa-based nightlife and promotions giant Klassique to co-promote all Sunburn events in the state. After a hiatus of over 3 years, Sunburn will be making its grand homecoming to its birthplace, Goa. Sunburn will begin a new journey of its own under "Sunburn Klassique" a two-day annual showcase on February 23 and 24, 2019 at Vagator. Represented by Mr. Shailesh Shetty, Klassique will be responsible for all local logistics, permissions for Sunburn Klassique under this is a long term deal. Sunburn which enjoys the status of being of the biggest dance music brands in Asia recently concluded the 12th edition of its annual showcase in Pune.
Goa has been the birthplace of Sunburn. Returning to Goa, Sunburn for its first year will be host multiple stages which will feature an elite mix of artists giving a throwback to what Sunburn was in its early years with a combination of great music including commercial, techno, and trance. The event will also host a food court, flea markets recreational, games and a lot more.
The new festival will be hosted at the old Sunburn venue in Vagator which is now one of the most popular areas in Goa. The venue was discovered by Sunburn in 2013 after being forced to move from Candolim. Vagator has transformed into a busy commercial and tourist destination during the 3 years of sunburn from being a rather quiet and isolated spot.
Sunburn last year saw a series of preliminary showcases throughout the year such as Sunburn Arena, Sunburn Campus, Sunburn Reload leading up to the main festival showcase on December 29 to 31. Sunburn Pune 18 saw one of the best artist lineups, sound design and engineering, and jaw-dropping SFX, the Sunburn Pune festival was the biggest and grandest edition of Sunburn held ever. The main stage also featured 3D fireworks, a first for any music festival in the country. The festival was streamed live exclusively on the Zee 5 app to reach millions of fans across the country. The festival featured 4 stages including the main stage, Cubezoid 4.0 which spanned 300 x 100 feet (as tall as a 10 storey building and as wide as the Statue of Liberty horizontally) and had over 7000 sq. ft. of LED and was attended by over 200,000 fans. At the time of its exit from goa in 2016, Sunburn’s direct contribution to the Goa economy stood at close to Rs. 700 crores, besides generating employment for several thousand and creating an entire ecosystem.

Said Shailesh Shetty, “It’s great to be a part of Sunburn’s homecoming to Goa after 3 years. We’re excited to be a part of Sunburn’s journey back home. I’m sure the event will bring back a lot of memories to fans who have been a part of Sunburn in Goa. We will be working hand in hand with authorities to get all requisite permissions to ensure the event goes on smoothly without any glitches. We hope to do multiple Sunburn Klassique events in Goa starting this February.”
Shri Manohar Ajgaonkar, Hon'ble Tourism Minister, Goa states, "Everybody wants EDMs back in Goa. We have taken a decision to give in-principle approval to Sunburn Klassique to host the festival. However, final approval will be given only when the promoter fulfills the criteria laid down by the government."
Over the last 12 years sunburn has played host to most of the top international EDM talent including Sam Feldt, KYGO, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, Martin Garrix, Kshmr, David Guetta, Dyro Afrojack, Above& Beyond, Axwell, Infected Mushroom, Marshmello, Hardwell, Avicii, David Guetta, Armin Van Buuren, Deadmau5, Don Diablo, Paul Okenfold, DJ Snake, Alan Walker, Swedish House Mafia, KSHMR, Krewella, Axwell^Ingrosso, among others.
First festival to be held in Goa in February at Vagator on February 24, 2019.
