St. Xavier’s College, a renowned institution of not only Mumbai’s, but also, the country’s educational, cultural and architectural fabric, completes 150 years in 2019. Many luminaries have passed out of the college and made a name for themselves in the fields of sport, business, films, theatre, music, politics, journalism, science and many others. All of them attribute their success to their years at the hallowed college and the sense of freedom and values it imparted. This very spirit is encapsulated in the centenary motto ‘Made of Xavier’s’.

Father Roy, SJ Director of Xavier Development Programme and Vice Principal Academics of St. Xavier’s College congratulated the team saying, “Wizcraft and Sabbas helped us put up a show worthy of the sesquicentenary celebrations. The venue design was out of this world and their ability to pull everything together was praise worthy. I had a great time interacting with so many from the Wiz team many of whom were Xavierites.”

Said Professor Nandini Sardesai, Former Head of Department, Sociology, St. Xavier’s College, “Working with Wizcraft was a wonderful learning experience. The inaugural function to mark the 150 years of St. Xavier’s College was a fundraising dinner. The inputs given by Wizcraft made it a classy event. The feedback from those alumni present has been overwhelming and an emotional connect has been established. Now an awareness needs to be created in civil society and Xavierite alumni so that donors and sponsors are reached out to support and help the college. The social skills of Wizcraft must be utilised to generate interest and follow-up action. Thank you Wizcraft for being there. It means a lot! You made it possible!”

Speaking on the occasion, alumnus and Co-Founder-Director, Wizcraft International Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., Sabbas Joseph said, “Made of Xavier’s is a motto that resonates with each and everyone who has spent time in Xavier’s. I personally have learned some of life’s most important lessons during my days at Xavier’s. The seed of qualities which we cherish today like creativity, freedom of thought, leadership and honesty found ground in those formative years and have powered all of us through life’s journey. Today, I feel deeply humbled and at the same time proud that Wizcraft, along with myself, could be a part of the sesquicentennial celebrations.”
The list of generous donors and sponsors who helped make this celebration a grand success were Godrej, Thermax, Bru, Furtados, Kingfisher and Bacardi Martini India Limited.
Wizcraft got the mandate to execute the sesquicentennial celebrations of St. Xavier's 150 years completion.
