'World Toilet Summit 2018' an Initative Highlighting the Journey of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

'World Toilet Summit-2018' was organised by the World Toilet Organisation co-organized by Ecosan Services Foundation on the occasion of the World Toilet Day. It was a 2-day event which was held on November 19-20, 2018, at Taj Lands End, Mumbai.

The main focus of the event was on the evolution and journey of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. World Toilet Summit 2018 envisions itself as being a pioneer in motivating the successful completion of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan's mission as it enters its final year of conclusion.Organised for the third time in India, Mumbai was chosen as one of the 15 host cities for the event. Innovations India Advertising and Events Pvt. Ltd. got the mandate to execute the entire summit. 

Commenting on the challenges and execution of the entire summit Ashish Mishra, Chief Operating Officer, Innovations India Advertising and Events Pvt ltd. says, "From the start, we were clear that the event has to have that WOW effect, as it involved the participation of delegates from 30 countries. Time was the biggest constraint as multiple halls were to be set up overnight. Giant Led Walls with watch out was used for projection along with water theme for all the venues at Taj Lands End. It was a collective effort within time inputs from the creative team, that helped us pull of this mega event successfully." 

The multi-talented emcee Sheena Chohan was roped in as the presenter for the event. Which was graced by the presence of Akshay Kumar and the telepresence of Sri Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

"Interacting and engaging with Akshay Kumar was inspiring, as he emphasised on creating more awareness on social causes through films! I’ve presented events with Sri Devendra Fadnavis before as well and his dedication towards upliftment is truly remarkable. I was honoured to be hosting such a grand event, engaging with the press and interacting with global dignataries." says, Sheena Chohan on her experience of the summit.

Apart from this, the event comprised interactive sessions with Keynote Speakers, Panel Discussions, Awards, and exhibitors. The summit created a base for the establishment of Multisectoral Partnerships, leveraging on local as well as international movements which will be supportive to the Swachh Bharat Mission.

The summit provided the participants, an international networking platform to exchange knowledge, and leverage media and corporate support in an effort to influence policy-makers and governments to promote clean sanitation and public health policies.
