In the past couple of years, gastronomy events in India have come a long way. Cities across the country have become ‘gastronomical centrals’ with an exciting line-up of curations that will leave you spoilt for choice. Adding to the line-up this year is yet another miniature epicurean fiesta featuring a bespoke curation of gourmet food and craft beers with curated music and designed spaces.
Spread over two days, The Culture Table presented by Brothers Incorporated and Rage Entertainment, is a maiden, one-of-its kind pleasure-seeking festival with sights, sounds, smells and tastes that could easily be mistaken for busy streets honing the world food culture. With handpicked kiosks and limited-edition dishes, connoisseurs can partake of cuisines as varied as European, Thai, Asian, Japanese, Mexican, Charcuterie, Chinese and Organic – The Culture Table has enough variety to send you straight into a culinary coma.
Hosted on the 6th and 7th of October 2018, The Culture Table will transform the MMRDA Ground, BKC into a Gourmet Wonderland as much loved restaurants and micro-breweries will convene to sample signature gourmet from the city’s topmost chefs. The aesthetic of the place would be such that of a relaxed atmosphere as though one were in an extension of their own home.
Culinary experts of the likes of Sarah Todd of The Wine Rack, Vicky Ratnani of Hello Green, Seefah Ketchaiyo and Karan Bane of The Blue, Kaviraj Thadani of Kaavo Meat, Nitin Kulkarni of The Clearing House, Jason Hudanish of Xico as well as reputed establishments like Toit Brewery, Taco Lab and Royal China’ Kuai Kitchen will showcase their dexterity at the event.
The same ethos driving the experiential curation of the culinary arts would extend in a cohesive manner to the live music performances by Tansane x Nigel from Nryta and Soundarya, giant Jenga, foosball tables, beer pong and more!
Ninad Shah, Founder, Brothers Incorporated states, “The hallmark of this event is the coming together of some of the finest pioneers in the restaurant and brewery space in Mumbai to showcase the evolution of the F&B industry. Food festivals are quickly becoming a testing ground for chefs to try new menus and concepts. From scrumptious delicacies to quintessential brews, all of this, would be in a manner which allows for an unprecedented accessibility, to those attending, to sample and imbibe in the flavors and essence of these phenomenal creations from the culinary arts amidst a lovely ambience.”
Azhar Morani, Director, Rage Entertainment adds, “In India, the food sector has emerged as a high-growth and high-profit sector and the food festival market has a huge potential. Just like music festivals, food festivals too will reach a high point in the next 5 years. The consumption of food is not just a solitary activity, is a package deal. The better the overall package, the better the sales. Having food, entertainment, music under one roof is the way forward. Food festivals are about discovery, about trying something you haven’t seen or heard or eaten before and that is something we wish to deliver through a close knit showcase.”
