Cineyug Group of Companies Conceptualise and Direct Adbhut Ganesh Utsav for Star Plus

‘Adbhut Ganesh Utsav’, is a special 5-day series welcoming Lord Ganesha through a grand celebration by some of the biggest stars of Star Plus, Marathi Cinema, and Bollywood. The event was conceptualised, scripted and directed by Cineyug Group Of Companies.
The event took place on September 5th 2018 in Reliance, Filmcity and is being telecasted from the 10th-14th September on Star Plus.
Each episode is hosted by popular faces of Star Plus who take the audience through interesting and engaging stories revolving Lord Ganesha and the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi through unique and spectacular performances and storytelling.
Highly admired lead actors of Star Plus shows, Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi) from Ye Hai Mohabbatein, Kartik (Mohsin Khan) from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Gauri (Karishma Tanna) from Qayamat Ki Raat, Sikandar (Mohit Malik) from Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala were the hosts of the show.
The show opened with great zeal and zest by Shantanu Maheshwari and Kings United Dance Group who performed in full Maharashtrian style paying an ode to Lord Ganesha. While superstar, Sachin Pilgaonkar recited the story of the origin of Ganesh Chaturthi festival by Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj played by Omkara (Kunal Jaisingh), Rithvik Dhanjani performed a royal celebratory act welcoming Lord Ganesha.
Celebrations were in full swing as stunning performers, Shakti Mohan and Sanjeeda Shaikh performed a jugalbandi fusion act whereas Gauri (Karishma Tanna) and Shantanu Maheshwari created frenzy as they performed on the popular song ‘Zingaat’.
Leading television star, Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi) amazed the audience as she performed an aerial Lavani act on Deewani Mastani and Navrai Majhi.
The evening witnessed performances by several popular dance groups who showcased engaging stories of Lord Ganesha in unique ways. The Silhouette Squad showcased the creation of Lord Ganesha through an incredible shadow performance.
Other groups such as 13.13 & Y3 presented unique interpretations of Ganesh festival Celebrations. Kids dance reality show winner, Ditya Bhande supported by Kings United dance group charmed the audience with their performance.
Just as the show title ‘Adhbut Ganesh Utsav’ suggests, the event beheld several Adbhut and amazing moments.
Adbhut Ganesh Utsav witnessed the comeback of Bollywood diva and Maharashtrian Mulgi, Urmila Matondkar who mesmerised the audience with her performance on popular song Apsaara Aali, Wajle Ki Barah and the iconic Chamma Chamma.
This Mahotsav had a visit by 2 very special celebrities, Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma who play the role of Mamta and Mauji in their upcoming release Sui Dhaaga – Made In India.
Besides talking about their film and characters in an interesting desi rap style, Varun and Anushka participated in several fun activities, entertaining the audience. One of the highlights included Varun Dhawan and host Kartik (Mohsin Khan) engaging into a Modak eating competition.
Popular television actor, Raqesh Bapat who is known for sculpting and making eco-friendly Ganesha’s, made a Ganesha idol of Silt (fine sand and clay) live on stage and presented it to Anushka and Varun, where they conveyed the importance of Eco-friendly Ganesha.
The finale act was performed by Shivaay Singh Oberoi (Nakuul Mehta) on the theme of the biggest Sarvajanik Ganesha of Maharashtra – Lalbaughcha Raja with a Maha Aarti on Deva Shree Ganesha.
