Wizcraft Executes the 8th Edition of Airtel Marathon in Hyderabad

Wizcraft executed the 8th edition of Airtel Hyderabad Marathon, the second largest and the toughest marathon in India. Wizcraft International produced this event on a turnkey basis, managing various events including the 2-day expo, 5k, 10k, half and full marathon runs. The mandate encompassed detailed planning of the start and the finish points, route management, logistics and aid. Setup by the Hyderabad Runners Society, this edition of the Airtel Hyderabad Marathon has been certified by AIIMS and has witnessed a record participation of 22,500 runners.

The different chapters of the marathon took place from August 24 - 26 at various venues in and around Hitex, Hyderabad.

Speaking exclusively to EVENTFAQS, sources at Wizcraft mentioned it was a daunting task to simultaneously manage 3 locations and the entire route to the finish point. Setting up aid stations on time and crowd management of around 25000 people was another major challenge. Since a lot of branding was along the route, careful planning was needed to avoid reprinting of branding. However, Team Wizcraft lived up to the challenge and executed the marathon flawlessly.

Multiple entertainment stages were setup on the marathon route for various bands and DJs to perform and encourage the runners.
