Senses Creations in collaboration with Mahaloth Melodies organised Padmabhushan Dr. S.P. Balasubrahmanyam’s Live in Concert at Lakeside, Brigade Gateway, Bengaluru on July 21, 2018.

All the tickets in all 3 categories were sold out across 5 different online tickets portals much before the event date. The craze took such a turn that only ticket distribution of online bookings happened at the venue and due to pre-booking of the tickets, more than thousands of SPB fans went home empty handed as no tickets were available at the venue for sales.

The legend is known for his punctuality and professionalism and to maintain that he started the concert at sharp 7:00 PM accompanied by his orchestra group which consisted of 22 musicians and instrumentalists. 

He began with ‘Naa Haadlu, neevu haadbeku ’, the popular Salangai Oli number, setting the tone for the rest of the evening. With other songs such as ‘Roja’ title track and ‘mere saawalon ka’ legendary Balasubrahmanyam mesmerised the audience with claps of thousands of people pushing the entertainment quotient to its glory. More than 2000 people witnessed the presence of the legend performing with the same grace and enthusiasm as he is maintaining for last 5 decades.

Within an hour of time, he stole the heart of the audience in his style also he addressed who didn’t get a chance to come inside the venue. That is what stands out when SPB performs live. While most others are struggling to get pitch-perfect, SPB sounds like he is in a studio, his voice simply refusing to acknowledge the fatigue you would associate with 40,000 songs over 5 decades.
