The largest, widely popular and well-acclaimed travel magazine in the country, Lonely Planet, recently hosted the 7th edition of the travel awards. The most relevant travel awards were hosted in St. Regis, Mumbai and felicitated the destinations and travelers most loved by Indians.

Fountainhead MKTG from the Dentsu Aegis Network conceptualized and managed the entire event. The awards ceremony based on the carnival theme this year showcased the buoyant spirit of the festivities around the world. It also marked the celebration of the 100th issue launched this month. The versatile artist Luke Kenny, as the host of the evening, piqued the interest of the audience throughout with his exceptional anchoring skills. The nominations for the awards were invited from a panel of travel experts, while the readers voted for their preferred Indian and international destinations across categories such as ‘Best Destinations for Relaxation,’ ‘Culture,’ ‘Shopping,’ ‘Wildlife,’ ‘Family Travel,’ ‘Romance,’ ‘Indulgence,’ ‘Adventure,’ and ‘Food and Drink,’ as well as ‘Emerging Destinations,’ and ‘India’s Favourite Destination.’

400 travel enthusiasts attended the gala night and took part in the celebrations. The idea was to bring the world together for the festivity. The theme reflected Lonely Planet’s zeal and marked the 100th issue. FHMKTG curated & designed every element with sheer class and incorporated the celebrations in the venue well. With a hot air balloon photo-op and multiple brand sponsorship arenas, the site was decked with travel stories, bright colours and elements of a fiesta.
