Experienced Stakeholders Opine on Mumbai's Top LIVE Event Venues

LIVE gigs and events are becoming the highlight of today's event industry and Mumbai being the hub of such events, picking a venue in the chaotic city can be a task. With the recent closing of MMRDA for LIVE events, the matters have become more difficult. Recent times have seen some of the best international artists and shows like The Purpose Tour India: Justin Beiber Concert and the Global Citizen Coldplay Concert take the city by storm. Now that one of the most important venues in Mumbai the MMRDA BKC ground has been closed for planners here's a look at some of the venues the city has to offer:

1. JioGarden 

JioGarden is a state of the art, beautifully landscaped, and largest of its kind, standalone public car parking facility located in the financial district of Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai. The beautifully landscaped perimeter encloses over 140,000 square feet of FIFA approved, synthetic turf. JioGarden is an urban space equipped with soothing water fountains, seating areas, energy generating air trees, canopies, pavilions, eight high-mast light towers along with two levels of underground car parking facilities accommodating more than 1,000 car parks at each level. All this makes Jio a suitable LIVE event venue in Mumbai.

2. DY Patil Stadium

Speaking about the venue Arjun Jain, Director, White Fox India "DY Patil as a venue is a fully equipped venue with amenities such as a hospital, parking lot etc. which helps in putting together large format shows. It is one of the most preferred venues for stadium format shows because it is not in the heart of the city ensuring minimal inconvenience to the common man when it comes to traffic management. There is ample parking space which is a rarity in the city. The venue has multiple entry and exit points which is ideal in case of a law and order situation."

3. Dome NSCI SVP Stadium

Mr. Mazhar Nadiadwala, MD, Dome Entertainment Pvt Ltd said "Dome is equipped with comfortable theatre seating arrangement, unlike the wooden seating in stadiums and outdoor concerts, the air conditioning facilities, an array of F&B services during events, high end security services, parking facilities as well as sanitation facilities (a huge problem faced usually at outdoor events) count as few elements that steer Dome NSCI to an ideal indoor home for entertainment in India, for audience across all ages. The vision is to create an iconic venue for India so much that Dome becomes synonymous when you think of the city."

4. Nesco Center
