The members of ICF Mumbai Chapter, a charter chapter of the International Coach Federation (ICF), hosted several events during the week of May 7-13, 2018 in observance of the International Coaching Week (ICW), the fraternity’s annual weeklong global celebration of the coaching profession.
The Coaching Taster at Geometry Global Encompass was led by Amitabha Sinha, while Wizcraft International Entertainment was led by Arun Vishwanath and the Lodha Group event was led by S. Kalyanaraman. They all had an interactive presentation on Coaching, followed by one-on-one coaching sessions for the attendees. The event was well received.
The President of the Mumbai Chapter, CN Murthy, PCC said, “An organisation’s need to innovate, learn and build leadership at every level, is calling out louder than ever before. Research shows that people in India claim to be aware of coaching. There, however, seems to be a gap in understanding what professional coaching is really all about. The events organised by the chapter during the week aimed at increasing this awareness amongst stakeholders. ICF coaches around the world offered a variety of activities and pro bono services in their local communities to help individuals and organizations experience professional coaching. As ICF Mumbai we are thrilled to have hosted three webinars and a few Corporate Coaching Taster events this year. They have helped build awareness about coaching and has also helped the coaching fraternity enhance their knowledge.”
