In its debut edition, Marketers’ POWWOW will see custodians from brands like Carlsberg, Pernod Ricard, Nestle, HP, Wipro, L’Oreal, Vanesa Care, Yes Bank, Pepsico, Orient Electric and others coming together to decode the challenges of retail marketing on topics like: Spearheading Brand Sales by Thriving on Retail Innovation, Story Telling at the Last Mile: Possibilities and Challenges, and Nailing the Elevator Pitch: Winning a Consumer in 8 seconds at Retail.
What makes the platform even more interesting is that the champions and senior officers from CPM International Group (Knowledge Partner of the event) Mike Huges, CEO, CPM International Group and Paul Woolley, President and Global CEO, CPM International Group have both confirmed their participation at the event as speakers and will be coming to India for the same. CPM is the global leader in field marketing and is best known to use insights to influence and drive sales for brands across the globe.

Mike Hughes is the current Chief Executive Officer of CPM International Group. He joined CPM in 1993 as the client service director running the Tactical Division and was promoted to CEO of CPM International with the responsibility for Europe in January 2010 and CEO of CPM globally in January 2018. Mike was previously the Managing Director of CPM UK from 2002 to 2010 and before this was CPM’s UK Commercial Director, having run CPM’s new business team from 1995 to 1997, and various out-sourced sales forces in the Contract Division from 1997 to 1999.

Paul Woolley plays the role of President & Global Chief Operating Officer, CPM International Group and brings to Marketers’ POWWOW over thirty years’ experience in the field of finance and commerce. In the late 1990’s Paul took a lead role in several mergers, acquisitions, and disposals which re-shaped several Omnicom businesses within its “below the line” holding network, DAS. The conclusion of this work saw Paul appointed to the UK Board of CPM as Chief Operating Officer in 2001.
He was subsequently promoted to the Group European Board in 2004 with responsibility for a number of clients and countries within the European Group. In 2007 Paul was promoted to the role of Group COO with specific responsibility for Group finance and acquisitions throughout the 20+ operating Units within Europe. In early 2009 this role was extended again, to Global COO, to include all the operating Units outside of the UK. In recent years Paul has taken a lead role in developing and sharing best practice across many of the Omnicom operating companies in a few areas, specifically negotiation and procurement.
Clearly, with the presence of Global CPM Officers and an eclectic mix of top brand marketers from India, the debut edition of Marketers’ POWWOW is set to establish itself as the home to unprecedented insights in the world of retail marketing. The initiative has been curated its Knowledge Partner - CPM India and Media Partner - Experiential Marketing Magazine.
