The #KishArjun wedding was hosted in Mumbai as it was the bride's wish to start the new phase of her life from her own home’s lawns.
The wedding was filled with glitz and glamour but with a traditional touch; the function started with a paath, which means reading or recitation of the holy texts.
The Sangeet function had an elaborated decor based on bling and twilight garden, which gave an elegant feel to the venue. Bollywood’s most popular singer Badshah's performance added the oomph factor to the evening.
The Mehendi function was a colourful affair, with bright drapes and hangings that gave a vibrant mood to the late afternoon event. A personalised touch to the decor was made with the use of mehendi inspired design gobos which flashed right outside the bride's room. The function began on a very humble note by inviting 40 orphan girls and various activities like hair-beading, nail art, tattoo artist, and different game stalls were planned for them. There couldn't be a better way to enclose the beautiful evening with the performance of the iconic singer Rekha Bhardwaj.
The phera mandap decor was inspired by the couple's wedding logo which was a holy symbol of ShivParvati, hand painted by the bride herself. The baraat welcome had a grand approach, where the groom and his baraatis entered the house with an elaborated ganga aarti performance. The artists were specially called from Varanasi to give the authentic Banarasi feel to the moment. The bride's entry was very charming as she walked the aisle with her two beloved pet dogs and left the guests in awe.
“It was a wonderful experience. All in all, we had moments turned into memories”, said Jenifer Mirchandani, Director, Horizon WIE.
From Bollywood bling to Ganga Aarti’s positive vibes, this wedding was an amalgamation of the best things possible!
