DUROFLEX Turns Official Sleep Partner for CSK; Distinct Communications Execute Announcement Event

DUROFLEX, the well-known mattress brand in the country announced its association with the IPL T20 team Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as the official Sleep Partner. In order to announce the special partnership, Distinct Communications was roped in with a mandate to create a larger than life event at Marriott Whitefield, Bangalore on April 07, 2018. 

The audience was the Tamil Nadu dealers of the brand and the unveiling of the event to the audience was a big surprise as DUROFLEX had refrained from any mention of the association or the sponsorship. Keeping up the entertainment quotient and to bring a difference to the event, Distinct Communications introduced a "Laser Man Act" and also roped in celebrity R Madhavan to talk about the association. The entire ambience of the event was designed with a digital approach that would help work with the content and make it more dynamic. A special photo-op zone was created for the guests with the CSK players and the Duroflex mattress where people could go have their "picture moment".

Distinct Communications received the brief for the event just 6-days prior, making it the biggest challenge to pull off an event of the large scale in such a short time. From end-to-end logistics for over 350 guests to the decor of the venue, everything was managed in the short timeframe. Keeping in mind the uniqueness of the launch, the Distinct Communications team custom created the set design which resembled the “lighting towers at a stadium” to give it a sporting feel. The visuals of the entire event were custom created as it was the launch of a unique association and it was essential to showcase the coming together of two big entities.

Staying true to their mantra of always innovating and bringing something new to their events, the team decided to announce the partnership and wow the audience through a unique act called as the “Laser Man Act”. The act was choreographed with 7 multicolour lasers used. the laser designs were an amalgamation of various logo animations and beam shows which ended with the logos of the 2 companies coming together.

Celebrity R Madhavan, a very well-known actor in the south film fraternity, was also a part of this launch where he spoke about the importance of sleep in every individual’s life. The main highlight of the event was the screening of the 2018 IPL season first live match.The first match was CSK’s come back and was scheduled on April 07, 2018 with Mumbai Indians, and incidentally, the match was won by CSK to everyone’s delight.
