Momente Weddings WelcomHotel Drinq

Momente's NRI clients, Shanil Patel and Meghna Kothari, wanted a good mix of Indian fusion and contemporary events, showcasing both their Indian and global roots during the festivities. And at the same time, the guest experience was of utmost priority.

The wedding parties made just one trip before the wedding, where they had to finalise most things in one recce. Everything else was left to Momente, and this trust led to a beautiful wedding and experience for them. The theme chosen was “Around India in 3 Days”.

The wedding celebrations kicked off with colourful and kitsch traditional Garba and Mehendi followed by a "Made in Rajasthan" inspired spa afternoon. This was followed by a Devas inspired Bollywood sangeet. The wedding was an amalgamation of the crossroad of India with its twist of modern and traditional elements. The reception was an ode to globalised India with a Gatsby-themed casino night.

Shanil Patel and Meghna Kothari’s wedding and other functions were hosted at the WelcomHotel in Jodhpur.

A gorgeous Sandook (hamper) filled with munchies, turn-down gifts on each night, and loads of other goodies during the event ensured guests left with lots of memories and mementoes from the festivities.
For the Mehendi, soulful notes from a flautist welcomed the guests as they arrived for the Mehendi and Garba night.  The very colourful and quirky décor by Vivaah together with the energetic and peppy singers, and Garba dancers from the ever famous Sameer Tanna troupe had guests enjoying themselves in no time.

A spa lounge setup near the poolside provided relaxing foot spa services and shoulder massages along with the very desi “Champi Maalish” for guests. Drinq provided exquisite themed cocktails and interesting shots for guests who were game to get dunked into the pool with pool games hosted by Vishal Rasquinha! And DJ Taheer kept the guests grooving to his beats.

The evening saw a beautiful Devdas themed sangeet. Ornate mirrors, crystal chandeliers, gold diya jalis, and candelabras added an ethereal charm to the décor.  The guests enjoyed a live performance by Bryden and Parth belting out some great numbers.

The décor for the wedding day had a beautiful pink and teal palette with a mix of traditional and contemporary elements. The groom entered along with his Baraat in a vintage car.  The bride escorted by her brother, walked towards her groom for the Jai Mala, under a pretty floral umbrella.

The reception was a grand affair with international acts, casino tables, Gatsby themed props, décor, and a dazzling performance by violinist Sandeep Thakur accompanied by a saxophone and a harpist. The guests could exchange chips they won at the gift bar for interesting takeaways.

Overall, the wedding celebrations were filled with much fun, promising to stay in the memories of the guests and hosts for a long time.

Based on the concept of “Around India in 3 Days”, the wedding was a mix of traditional and contemporary elements!
