Brandwidth Events recently organised the Forbes India Conversations on February 21, 2018 at the recently renovated Oberoi, New Delhi. Powered by Network 18 as the official broadcast partner, BNP Paribas was the main sponsor of the event in association with CNBC TV network. The event was an outlook on sustainability and economic growth of the country, with noted dignitaries of various industries, as part of the panel discussion sharing their valuable inputs with the audiences.

As the Forbes India Conversations event was around the advantages of having a sustainable environment to live in and its possible positive outcome in the world as a whole, Brandwidth conceptualised the entire setup for the event using jute and canvas and coconut coir ropes – which was in itself a unique way to present the argument in question in an elegant yet effective way.

The event started off by welcoming all the guests. The first round of panel discussion saw the likes of Rahul Munjal, Chairman & Managing Director, Hero Future Energies, Charles Frump, MD, Volvo Cars India, Joris Dierckx, CEO & Country Head, BNP Paribas, amongst the few who participated in an engaging discussion on why sustainability is good for business.

Commenting on the occasion, Neha Chimbulkar, Brand Head - Forbes India and DGM - Marketing, CNBC TV18 said, “Forbes India always aims to provide a best in class experience for its readers. The event Forbes India Conversations, like most of our endeavours, was a platform that brought together eminent stalwarts of India Inc. for an invigorating exchange of information, ideas and insights.”

The second round of discussion highlighted pointers on how we can ensure a better future – while maintaining a sustainable outlook. Jun Zhang, Country Manager, International Finance Corporation, Joe Phelan, Director, World Business Council for Sustainable Development India, Andrew Hines, Head of Business Development – South India, Cleanmax Solar, to name a few, were present amongst the panelists.

Sustainability was at the core of every discussion followed by Q&A between the top policymakers and their opinions on technology and its effects on the past and future growth of their businesses was an intriguing highlight of the evening. Forbes India Conversations truly achieved in conveying the message across platforms.

Hrishi Raj, Senior Manager, Client Servicing, Brandwidth Events, said, “It was a great experience and teamwork between Forbes India team and us. We are grateful to Forbes India for giving us this opportunity. A great concept and a pleasure indeed to be a part of an important event. It was amazing working with Forbes India. Hoping this relationship to evolve in the coming years and creating more such experiences for the audiences related to the industry and others too.”

Towards the end of the night, keeping the agenda of the event in mind, the guests were given a seed paper – which contained Holy Basil (Tulsi) seeds – which could be sown in the soil to have a new plant once the purpose of the paper is fulfilled. The guests were also given a special handloom stole made organically from a plant called Cannabis Sativa L. The night was concluded with a sit-down dinner and networking amongst the guests.
