WILD STONE, the leading men’s grooming brand from India, co-sponsored the Tri-Nation Series Nidahas Trophy 2018. The tournament was played between three sub-continental cricketing giants - India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka in Colombo, Sri-Lanka from March 06 -18, 2018 to celebrate Sri Lanka’s 70 years of independence.
Apart from sponsorship, the brand is conducting contests online/on their social media pages for cricket fans like #MostNoticeableCelebrities amongst other contests. Additionally, the brand also ran an on-ground promotion with Sri Lankan consumers where consumers who bought Wild Stone/Secret Temptation products, could win Couple T-shirts, cheer material, and even tickets to matches via Lucky draw.
Like traditional cricket, WILD STONE, too has crossed many an international boundary to acquire mass appeal amongst its target audience across the sub-continent. In line with its popular caption, “Log to Notice Karenge”, WILD STONE’s “Most Noticeable Player of the Match” trophy was awarded to the most deserving player for every match. WILD STONE’s Facebook Page also featured candid shots of stadium audience captioned as #WildStoneNoticeableCelebrities amongst other interesting digital campaigns.
Additionally, WILD STONE recognised one player with the – ‘Emerging Player’ title after every match played. The sum of 2500 USD and a title trophy for “Most Noticeable Player of the Match” were handed over by the McNROE representative to the winning player.
In the last 4 matches played; Shikhar Dhawan (India), Jaydev Unadkat (India), Liton Das (Bangladesh), and Manish Pandey (India), bagged the WILD STONE "Emerging/Most Noticeable player of the match" award. This is the first time WILD STONE sponsored an international tournament which reflects brand's growth commitments to international markets.
