Tamarind Global gorgeously planned and executed this Mumbai wedding on January 20th for the mehendi function and on January 22nd for the wedding reception.
The Mehendi function was on January 20th 2018, hosted at the Vandan building at Napean Sea Road. It was a traditional yet colorful affair with light blue and pink colored Cabanas erected for the guests to sit and get beautiful mehendi designs done. A small seating area was set up with round tables and chairs that were covered with brightly colored printed overlays. On top of each table there were fresh flowers placed in colorful bottles. The buffet table area was decorated with hanging mason jars and a few bird cages to add that mid-century modern look to the décor. The photo op area was decorated with tea kettles, hanging frames that had fresh flowers, floral strings and paper flowers that added that unique charm to the area. The bridal seating was done on a small raised platform with light blue colored seating and a large green grass backdrop that had flower chakras with little woolen tassel hangings, colorful paper flowers and a tree-shaped wooden stand with bangles placed on it. On the other side another small platform was raised with a band set up for the performance.
The main entertainer for the event was Aishwarya Bhandari, who sung beautiful melodies in Marwari, Gujarati, and Hindi. There were family dances including a special performance by the bride’s family for the groom.
The photographer chosen was Lightworks, while the catering service was provided by Pavatra caterers. The event was attended by 350 people.
The traditional Indian theme wedding was hosted on January 22nd, 2018 at the NSCI Dome, Mumbai. The entire venue was draped in gold fabric with Sanskrit shloka panels placed at a few places across the venue. The main entrance had a large floral peacock installation while the vidhi mandap had a pillarless ceiling suspended from the truss above, with flowers and the aromatic rajnigandha ladi’s. There were four lounges across the venue that had trellis work on the backdrop which was one of the highlights. The food area also had a huge Krishna installation in the center.
The main performer for the wedding was singer Swapnil Mistry. The instruments at the reception included a tabla, flute & guitar which received a special appreciation from the guests. The event was attended by 1200 people.
Entire turnkey event management, logistics, production, management of the artist, and technicals, were done by the event management company.
