Wizcraft’s 30 Years: An Ode to a Company and its Unmatched Legacy

It is an honour to co-author this article with the EVENTFAQS team, and to pay tribute to an organisation I hold close to my heart.

I have been fortunate to be a witness to the Wizcraft story that has unfolded over the past three decades.  A little over 24 years ago, I walked into the Wizcraft office with stars in my eyes and watched as the constellation grew into one that covered the skyscape of the entertainment industry of India.  

I was certainly consumed by the intense passion and dedication of Sabbas, Andre, and Viraf as they worked tirelessly to push boundaries by charting their way through an unfamiliar territory to create an industry when none existed.  I witnessed the nights merging into days of relentless work propelled by the support that they received from their better halves and families.

Wizcraft is certainly a story of trailblazing glory, yet hidden, as nuggets in the fine print of these chapters are personal stories of commitment, duty, and an unfaltering family support.  

Taking the role of pioneers seriously, the three Wizards mentored the industry in more ways than one. Eager to share knowledge and enable personal growth, the Wizards groomed an entire generation of event professionals and worked shoulder to shoulder in the trenches as they embarked on a journey of self-motivated expression.

We reached out to a few industry peers, clients, associates and ex-wizzes, for congratulatory messages and we received bundles of respect, goodwill and trust for the Wizcraft team. These are a true testimony to the Wizcraft legacy.

When I embarked on my own journey as an entrepreneur, the Wizzes were only a call away and through the years I have always considered myself a ‘Wiz’ who would never be a ‘Was’.  

This is an ode to the company that has been built on the strong foundation of dreams, perseverance, sacrifice and teamwork.  

It takes much to create History and these stalwarts continue to do so as they walk into the future with a clear vision, firm determination and deep humility. 

Congratulations to the 3 Wizards and to all the Wizzes that have worked in Wizcraft over the past 30 years!
