DDB MudraMax Gives TECHNO’s Camon I Phone a Wonderfully Unconventional Launch

TECNO, a Chinese mobile phone manufacturer headquartered in Hong Kong recently launched its latest smartphone- Camon I in India.  DDB MudraMax bagged the mandate of executing the launch event following a multi-agency pitch. It is believed that the innovative ideas and eye-catching designs from the agency motivated the brand custodians to award the mandate to DDB MudraMax.

The brief shared with the agency for the launch event was to create a spectacular experience that would encourage journalists and bloggers to positively promote the phone through their diverse media channels.

DDB MudraMax took up the challenge heads on and created a unique proposition to launch the phone in a skit format wherein they planted actors in form of the audience to talk about the shortcoming of using an ordinary camera phone. The engagement captured the immediate attention of not just the bloggers and media persons present in the audience but also intensified the interest of the Gadget guru- Rajiv Makhni as well as the noted journalist could be spotted capturing the entire act on his phone.

The buzz of the launch event was further amplified with the skit video going viral online through multiple shares on social media and the brand’s official Facebook page. Check out the video below.

The attendees at the event found the event concept wonderfully unconventional and intriguing, helping TECHNO receive the required the media eyeballs and positive word of mouth through the launch event.
