1) Please mention some of the most memorable projects you've worked on in these last 4 years?
Being the Wedding Division of Wizcraft, the pioneer of the event management industry in India for the past 30 years, it has been quite a journey for us at Wedniksha. All our projects and clients are extremely dear to us. They are the reason for our growth and progress essentially. Some of the most memorable projects undertaken by us in the past 4 years are the Hinduja Wedding in Udaipur, the Gupta Wedding in Antalya, the Danube Cruise Wedding and the Gupta and Poddar family Wedding at Palazzo Versace, Dubai among several others.
These weddings have been iconic and synonymous with our brand identity creating a lot of “Firsts”. We managed the International sensation, Jennifer Lopez and the entertainment for the Hinduja Wedding in her first ever performance at an Indian wedding. The Gupta Wedding in Antalya was one wherein we recreated the palaces of Turkey like Dolmabahçe Palace in terms of décor designing, execution and entertainment. We welcomed Indian guests to the Ottoman Empire in the most traditional manner at Hotel Mardan Palace.
The First ever chartered cruise wedding was organized from start to finish by us onboard Costa Fascinosa for the #Sanadel Wedding that also became the most trending hashtag and talked about wedding in the year 2017. Our most recent endeavor has been the first ever buy out of Hotel Palazzo Versace in Dubai for an Indian wedding, wherein, we created redefined elegance and royalty in the series of events created, executed and designed by us to perfection.

2) What are your favourite wedding destinations in India and Internationally for a big fat Indian wedding?
Our favourite destinations in India are definitely ones in Rajasthan as nothing spells royalty better than the rich heritage that is present in the land. Be it Udaipur, Jaipur or Jodhpur, these destinations are beautiful and rich in terms of culture, food, and hospitality.
The beautiful traditions and picturesque sites make them great venues for weddings and we could not be happier that Jaisalmer is coming up in a big way as well and we sure are welcoming this with both our hands.
Internationally, having worked in various countries all over the globe and each having distinct features makes it an extremely tough pick. Our all-time favorites would typically include Turkey, Malta, and Barcelona among others. Turkey is a great country that provides the perfect amalgamation of India and Europe and there sure can’t be a better combination. Malta and Barcelona set in the European backdrop are stunning and historically rich, making it our preferred choices as destinations.

3) What are Wedniksha’s plans for the coming years? Where do you see the growth areas for the agency?
Wedniksha has had tremendous growth in a short period of 4 years. We have achieved a lot yet we have a lot more than we are set out to achieve. While we work all across India and the globe, we intend on expanding our offices within the metropolitan cities of India and Internationally. We have plans of expanding our team to cater to each city and their neighboring counterparts individually to increase our personalized attention in each region.
4) What are your predictions for the Wedding industry this year?
One trend that we believe will be very popular in 2018 in terms of décor will be the change in preference from larger than life elements, into smaller elements. The focus is on details that we believe is essential.
This year will bring in more greens and rustic themes. Earthy tones will rule in this scenario along with hues and tints of pastel shades. More attention will be paid to intricacies of smaller elements vis-a-vis eye catchy elements. These neutral colours with a pop of colour like ultraviolet are stylish choices that will be popular all year round. People seem to be getting closer to and appreciate nature these days, and thus more potted plants, green walls, plant-inspired items, rustic arches with florals will be used more often. Using such a theme not only injects beauty, tranquillity and an earthy feel into your space but also creates a serene and charming look, being one with the flora.
