The grand wedding of Choksey and Khatau family was held in Udaipur and executed by the efficient team at Motwane Entertainment & Weddings. The two-day event was held at The Oberoi Udaivillas. Here is the how the wedding was planned -

Day 1 - On December 12, guests were welcomed at the airport by MEW and team, and A New Knot (ANK). Upon arrival, guests were first taken to Udaivillas to enjoy a Hi-Tea catered exclusively by Foodlink, the décor was done by The Wedding Design Company (WDC) and a performance by Samander Khan and Ghoomar dancers was also organised to entertain the guests. The cocktail, organised in the evening at the Leela Palace, was designed by Mumbai based architect and interior designer Rooshad Shroff. The Los Angeles based band, Jazz Electric, who recently performed at the American Music Awards 2017 after party, performed for the evening which set the tone and filled the dance floor immediately. Special pizzas from the Mumbai-based Juno's Pizza chain were flown down from the finance capital and served to all the guests at the after party.

Day 2 – On December 13, the Khatau Baraat saw the famous DJ Jodi – DJ Van and DJ Allie from Los Angeles. The wedding ceremony décor was done by the Wedding Design Company (WDC) while DJ Vicky entertained the guests. The reception was held at the Udaivillas Courtyard, for which the décor was done by WDC. Performers for the day included Viraj & Abbishek Band, Kutle Khan, Dhruv Sangari followed by DJ Amit, who kept the crowd on the dance floor until 6 AM. Entertainment for the reception was also designed by Motwane Entertainment & Weddings. The guest list for the lavish evening included Gautam Singhania, Sangita and Sajjin Jindal, Pinky and Sanjay Reddy, Jay Shroff, Varsha and Praful Patel, Shraddha Kapoor, Rajan Kilachand, Amrita and Partiv Kilachand, Devaunshi and Anoop Mehta, Rohan Shreshta, Kresha Bajaj and Vanraj Zaveri, Tarini Jindal and Vikram Handa, and Aishwariya Nair amongst many others who were all accommodated at The Leela Palace, Udaivillas, and Trident Hotel.

Hospitality, logistics, entertainment, and production at the Leela Palace were all done by MEW across events. Brief for Leela Palace was Fantasy-Enchanted forest décor, which was done by Rooshad Shroff. For Udaivillas, the decor was done by WDC. For the ceremony there were no colors, only all natural greens and whites were used.

It was challenging to have proper accommodation as the hotel only has 82 rooms which accommodated around 250 people. But the event had to cater 600 people and due to location and tiny roads, there was lots of pre-planning and coordination required for equipment delivery which was done by boats. Forecourt dinner reception was styled in red, organic and simple with gold. Need to look existing and not created. Therefore thick full greenery. Another challenge was that the previous wedding was ending on the 10th which meant their clearance & breakdown of staging etc only gave them less than 24 hours to bring everything in and commence with set up. However, due to their proper planning, they were on time.

“The USP for this wedding was that each and every guest was made to feel as though Udaipur was their home. Given 2 different venues, the guests were meant to feel 2 diverse & unique experiences with both decor, entertainment & food. Happiness and warmth was what the client would feel across all aspects; hospitality, logistics and at all events. On the last night we had all 600 guests on the dance floor until wee hours of the morning”, says Aditya Motwane, Director, Motwane Entertainment & Weddings.

The wedding witnessed exceptionally beautiful decor, world-class entertainment, and a lavish experience.
