Merging Music and Comedy Pays Rich Dividends for Bacardi NH7 Weekender, Pune

The 2017 edition of Bacardi NH7 Weekender ended on a high in Pune with the artist lineup and performances making fans scream for more. The property of OML Entertainment in partnership with Bacardi, the second leg of the festival held in Pune from December 8 to 10 saw not just musicians but even comedians tickle the funny bone of the audiences.

The eighth edition of the festival, the audience turnout was larger than ever before and drew the fans from all over the world to attend the event. The festival’s headlining acts included American guitar virtuoso Steve Vai, who performed in Pune for the first time, The festival also saw performances by some of the most loved artists in the country including fusion icons Indian Ocean and BACARDÍ NH7 Weekender Pune debutant The Ram Sampath Experience (led by Bollywood composer Ram Sampath). Warren Mendonsa of Blackstratblues also performed with guest artists, for a curated Blackstratblues All Stars set.

The second day commenced with music frenzy with performances by the alternative rock band Easy Wanderlings along with Urdu rock band Parvaaz, Chennai garage rock outfit Skrat, returning Indian rock band Indigo Children, French rock band Colt Silvers, Hindi rock band The Local Train, hip-hop act Bombay Bassment, acoustic guitarist Bhrigu Sahni. The festival highlights also include singer-songwriter Ali Saffudin, multi-instrumentalist Sid Vashi and electronic acts Indigo Children, Kumail and Ocentied. Day 2 also saw an inclusion of some of the most reknowned stand-up comedians from India. 

The third day continued the musical journey with the evening spelling out some more laughs with a new lineup of comic artists - making the fans wish the festival did not end. The festival first debuted in Shilliong in October 2017 which was just as impressive and as immersive for the attendees.
