GS Worldwide Entertainment Executes Venue Operations for Chennaiyin F.C. Yet Again!

GS Entertainment Chennaiyin FC Indian Super League

ISL (Indian Super League) commenced on November 16, 2017, in Kochi with a grand opening ceremony in place and just like the previous year, GS Worldwide Entertainment has bagged the opportunity to execute venue operations for Chennaiyin FC. The home matches for CFC are scheduled at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai.  

Chennaiyin F.C. has been a successful outfit of the Indian Super League and had its first match scheduled on November 19, 2017. GS Sports, which is an integral part of the GS Worldwide Entertainment has its team handling the venue operations, which include: branding, pitch handling, security management, hospitality, housekeeping, and even venue accreditation. This will be the second time in a row when GS will be working closely with Vita Dani owned Chennnaiyin F.C. Abhishek Bachchan and Mahendra Singh Dhoni share co-owner status with Mrs. Dani.

Considering the love of football in Chennai, Chennaiyin FC has always attracted a lot of crowds in their earlier seasons too. The GS team faced a challenge in setting up the whole stadium which also includes Field of Play curation and pitch work. The hospitality lounges are divided into VVIP and VIP lounges. A separate owner’s lounge is also set up with the team branding which gives a flavor of the team slogans and players. The VIP lounge has a 20ft painting showcasing all the players in caricature style. GS Sports took the initiative of giving the entire stadium a face-lift.

Director at GS Worldwide Entertainment, Bunty Walia quoted, “The tournament length has expanded itself to 5 months now and we have around 9 matches scheduled on the home ground. The challenge is to keep the experience the same for all the matches and also improve it if there is any kind of slack. Our team is dedicatedly working on ground for 5 months in Chennai taking care of the stadium, improving by the day to give the in-stadium audience and TV viewers an international-level tournament experience.
