Sunset Getaways executed the opening dinner for International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2017 in Goa which saw the evening lit up with stars from the Bollywood industry. The location chosen for the year was Goa, and it was the first time that the festival was held in Panjim. 

Interestingly, the event was organised locally to coincide with the opening of the Panjim Gymkhana. The opening dinner for IFFI 2017 was hosted by the Hon. Chief Minister of Goa, Manohar Parrikar. The event was held on the famous Miramar Waterfront and Sunset Getaways Goa conceptualised and executed the entire concept of the dinner.

Lyndon Alvarez, Owner of Sunset Getaways Goa commented, "The challenge was working against time and utilising a brand new venue (Panjim Gymkhana) to create something spectacular, using the waterfront and the famous Reis Magos fort as a backdrop to the event."

Apart from the local bigwigs who graced the event, attendees were enthralled by host Shahrukh Khan. Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Smriti Irani also made an appearance. Many Bollywood celebrities spoke at the launch event on their movies and their upcoming performances. A mega performance by Kailash Kher saw Shah Rukh Khan get on stage and shake a leg, and he was soon joined in by other celebrities.
