Entertainment and Education are often perceived by people to be at different ends of human interest, however, much like education, entertainment also plays a crucial role in the shaping up society.
Taking the same chain of thought further, DanceSmith Performing Arts, a Delhi based Leading Professional Dance Performance and Production Company has started an initiative with the name “Entertainment for Education” in which they contribute a percentage of their profits towards child education with the help of one of the most trustworthy NGO’s of the country Smile Foundation.
Sujit Kayal, Founder and Creative Head of the company shared, “Society should have the Right to Get Entertained as it is an important part of everyone’s life. We are from the same industry and we are trying to provide a healthy entertainment. We believe that Entertainment is strongly connected with Education and got highly inspired by the thought of renowned Pro. Marshal McLuhan who once quoted that Anyone who tries to make a distinction between education and entertainment doesn't know the first thing about either.”
Commenting on the initiative Sanjeev Dham, COO, Smile Foundation shared, “We have always believed that education goes beyond the classroom, and it’s important that a child learns in a holistic manner. With Dance Smith’s initiative “Entertainment for Education”, we have been able to transform our classrooms and enhance learning for our children. Every little step goes a long way, and we feel grateful to have their support.”
