Maximus Curates Vodafone Strike Force 2017 in Munich and Prague

To celebrate and reward the success and superlative performance of 113 of the organization’s top performers in the Sales, Marketing, Distribution and Business Services divisions of brand Vodafone, the Vodafone Strike Force 2017 was conceptualized and executed by Maximus MICE and Media Solutions in Munich and Prague from September 14th-19th, 2017.

Resonating with the significance of the event and the chosen destinations, the offsite was aptly themed as the Strike Force Army: Mission Prague; evolving from the historic contribution of Munich & Prague in the World Wars and encapsulating the present-day contribution of the Vodafone employees towards the accomplishment of their targets.

Strike Force was an exhilarating incentive; beginning in Munich, the heart of Bavaria, Germany; where the guests experienced the sensational activity of Flying Fox - Zip lining across the Olympic Stadium, rode a cogwheel train to the highest peak of Germany, snow sledged, and mountain hiked the summit of Zugspitze as well as visited the splendid BMW Welt.

Their last day in Munich coincided with the first day of the world-famous Oktoberfest 2017 and the guests were taken to the festival grounds and treated to the unfathomable experience of trying some of the best Bavarian Beers, exhilarating rides, and great local food. They then moved to the resplendent city of Prague, capital of Czech Republic where the guests had the chance to experience a majestic dinner in a medieval tavern, visit a Military Camp for Tank Riding & Pigeon Clay Shooting and have lunch at one of the oldest breweries of Prague, U Fleku, the only one where beer has been brewed for almost 500 years.

For the Gala Dinner, the group was taken through the city of Prague in vintage cars to one of the most beautiful venues of the city, the Neo-renaissance building – National House of Vinohrady. On this evening, the stalwarts from the senior management, Sunil Sood, Managing Director & CEO of Vodafone India, and Balesh Sharma, COO of Vodafone India also graced the event with their presence.

Each guest was welcomed by a formal salutation and a militant capping ceremony. They then stepped into the Mayakovsky Hall where the Gala night commenced, and the stage was set for a vivacious evening to harbor the atmosphere of the Rewards & Recognition Ceremony. Guinness world record-holding bubble artist Matej Kodes performed at the ceremony illustrating his remarkable abilities by drawing a bubble around two of the guests, while the entertainment for the evening included local Slovak and Arabian performances by Extravadansa. There was also a phenomenal Acrobatic Performance by The Losers Cirque Company, winners of Czech and Slovak Got Talent.

Speaking about managing the MICE incentive tour for one of global telecommunications giant, Dhanraj Madnani, Senior Manager – Business Development & Client Servicing, Maximus MICE and Media Solutions stated, “With the intention of providing the Strike Force with a memorable incentive, Maximus successfully handled all aspects of the offsite including visas, travel & logistics, accommodation, experience design, collaterals, branding, set & stage design, entertainment and hospitality while managing to do so in a short span- time of approximately 25 days.”
