In a press note circulated today, the festival organizers of Enchanted Valley Carnival have confirmed that EVC, one of India’s largest multi-genre music festival property is shifting base from its home for the past 4 years- Aamby Valley City, Lonavala to the NESCO Centre in Mumbai for its upcoming 5th edition.
The note mentions, “Due to extenuating circumstances beyond the control of EVC, Enchanted Valley Carnival will not be held at the venue that has been home to the festival for the past four years. This move heralds a new chapter for EVC.”
While the news may come as a shocker to music enthusiasts in and around the Pune area, we’re certain that this change in venue will work in the favor of not just the festival organizers- Twisted Entertainment and Universal Music but also help in giving a much-needed boost to the LIVE Entertainment scene in Mumbai.
With most of the other big festivals like Sunburn and Vh1 Supersonic being hosted in the city of Pune now, EVC moving to Mumbai comes across as a refreshing change, one that is bound to be well received by music enthusiasts in the city itself who till now had to make trips to Pune to be a part of a multi-day festival experience.
Additionally, we are counting on the festival organizers to now curate an even better ‘Tribe Experience’ given the state of the art infrastructure in Mumbai and the fact that now they have a fully secured, completely air-conditioned indoor venue to work with.
Since Mumbai is also the land of Bollywood Music, EVC which last year added a Bollywood leg to its festival has further upped the game as the lineup this year includes names like Arijit Singh, Nucleya, DJ CHETAS, Shirley Setia and others. Additionally, Robin Schulz- The German musician, DJ, and record producer best known for his track ‘Waves’ will be making his way to India for the first time for the festival. Also joining in the celebration is Dutch legend & recently announced World #3 DJ Armin Van Burren making the festival a great mix of International & homegrown talent.
Commenting on the announcement Devraj Sanyal, MD & CEO Universal Music Group, India & South Asia & CEO of EVC said, “We are very excited to host India’s largest 2 Day Multi-genre concert at the NESCO Centre. Armin Van Buuren & Arijit Singh will be headlining the concert and we are looking forward to making this the most memorable experience for the EVC tribe. The combination of enthusiastic EVC tribe, exciting artists, state of the art venue & technology in Mumbai will ensure one of the best experiences for everyone who visits EVC.”
Shoven Shah, Founder EVC & Director, Twisted Entertainment (M) Pvt Ltd added, “We’re ecstatic to introduce a new chapter with Comio EVC Mumbai 2017. Our aim has always been to bring like-minded music enthusiasts together & give that tribe the best experience they can imagine. We look forward to hosting the Multi-genre 2-Day concert this December. We are truly grateful to all our international partners, artists, managers & sponsors.
Comio Enchanted Valley Carnival 2017 will take place on December 16 & 17, at the NESCO Center in Mumbai.
With most of the other big festivals like Sunburn and Vh1 Supersonic being hosted in the city of Pune, EVC moving to Mumbai comes as a refreshing change.
