11 Edition of RMAI Flame Students Awards to Honor Best Summer Projects in the Rural Marketing Domain

Rural Marketing Association of India (RMAI) is geared up to host the 11th edition of RMAI Flame Student Awards slated to be held on October 7th, 2017 at Courtyard by Marriott, Ahmedabad. This annual property by RMAI has been instituted with a view to recognizing rural initiatives in the academic domain, which have enhanced understanding of the various phenomenon in the marketplace.
Summer training is an integral part of any MBA curriculum in the country and all students undergo training of 8-10 weeks with an industrial, business or service organizations by taking up a study project. It serves as a direct exposure for students to an organization and its ways of functioning during coursework. This initiative will collate the works carried out in the rural arena under this arrangement and identify the distinctive studies to confer due recognition to the trainee.
The award program promises to host some of the leading names of the Rural Marketing domain and will showcase the best summer projects and case studies by the top B-school students in this sector. Recognizing best practices and innovative approaches in rural marketing which are furthering growth opportunities, this year's awards will be aimed towards highlighting the potential marketing leaders and disruptors of the Rural sphere of tomorrow.
The earlier eight editions of the awards have been widely successful with participations from prestigious management institutes like IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Kashipur, Kozhikode, Raipur, Ranchi, Rohtak, Shillong and Trichy, IRMA, BITS- Pilani, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Delhi, IRM Jaipur, IIFT, XISS, XIMB, XIMJ, Welingkar Institute, NAARM, Vamnicom, IIM Indore, BIMTECH & SP Jain Institute of Management, to name a few.
The Jury for the awards this year includes some of the most reputed names in the domain of rural marketing. These include- Biswabaran Chakrabarti- Vice President - Brand & Channel Management, Crompton Greaves Ltd; Mridula Shekhar- Chief Marketing Officer - Tata AIA Life Insurance; Puneet Vidyarthi- AVP Marketing & Digital innovations - JCB India Ltd; Dr. Anup Kalra- Director, Ayurvet Ltd; Rikki Kalra- Deputy General Manager – Maruti Suzuki; among others.
