Acer ‘Enters the Next Level’ with New Gaming Machine HELIOS; Launch Event Managed by BrandAid

With the ever-increasing demands being made on gaming consoles and systems, ACER launched its latest gaming machine – the HELIOS. Power packed with features that are sure to impress gamers, the launch of this beast of a machine had to leave a lasting impression on the audience.

BrandAid Events was asked to ideate and execute the entire press launch from start to finish. Keeping in mind the tagline ‘Enter the Next Level’ the team at BrandAid created a live action gaming experience that took the audience by surprise. The launch took place on August 17 at the Hyatt Regency in Delhi.

The venue was split into two zones - the experiential zone and the product demo zone. Making use of two massive LED screens to recreate the dual screen gaming experience and creating an amphitheatre styled seating, the stage was set to for the much-awaited launch.

Taking inspiration from the popular game ‘Hitman,’ the audience were treated to an immersive gaming experience in which they were witness to the game coming to life right before their eyes.

Once again, in keeping with the tagline ‘Enter the next Level’ the experience culminated with the ‘Hitman’ disappearing into a cleverly concealed space between the two LED walls that was masked using a fog screen. The voice of the hitman beckoned the audience to follow him as he ‘Entered the Next Level’. The audience, while walking through the dense fog screen into the demo zone on the other side, had the mesmerizing experience of entering a different world.

Members of the ACER team then led the discussion on the various features of the gaming laptop while demo stalls were also created for members of the audience to get a first-hand experience using the ACER HELIOS.

“Every product launch is unique in its own way. Since the Acer Helios is pure gaming machine, the launch had to provide the audience with a highly interactive and memorable gaming experience. BrandAid Events exceeded our expectations in the conceptualization and execution of this entire event,” said Sumanth Sundarshan, Head of Marketing Communications & Strategic Alliances, ACER.

Talking about the entire event experience, Anubhav Argal, Founder and Director, BrandAid Events said “Our main challenge was to seamlessly fit together a number of different experiential touchpoints. From the overall launch concept, to creating two separate zones, all the while attempting to provide the audience a highly immersive gaming experience.”
