Hansa Events Executes the First International Conference on Women Trafficking

Organized by The Maharashtra State Commission for Women (MSCW) and the International Justice Mission (IJM), the first International Conference On Women Trafficking (ICWT) was a 2-Day conference that focused on creating dialogues on the sensitive issue of Women Trafficking.

Attended by speakers and delegates from across the world, the event also saw a fair representation from the center and state ministries. The conference was inaugurated by Honorable Chief Minister of Maharashtra-Devendra Fadnavis, Minister of Rural Development, Women and Child Welfare as well as Maharashtra State Guardian Minister- Pankaja Munde, Famous Actor, Producer, Martial artist and Television personality- Akshay Kumar, Second Lady Of Ghana- Samira Bahumia,  CEO of the International Justice Mission- Gary Haugen and Leader of the Bharatiya Janta party Maharashtra, National President of BJP Mahila Morcha and Head of the MSCW- Vijaya Rahatkar.

Over the course of two days, various panel and plenary sessions saw individuals of great merit who have contributed significantly in the field, talk on ways of “Securing Justice, Restoring Freedom”. Mridula Sinha, Governor of Goa felicitated survivors and change makers who have lead the way.

The conference was hosted by Manasi Sontakke, and the evening award function saw renowned Bollywood Choreographer and Dancer, Phulwa Khamkar’s Dance Troupe present an ode to women through two power-packed performances.

Hansa Events, curated the whole experience in a very short frame of time; from a unique walkway carpet, to showcasing the justice journey of a survivor. The event also saw a pledge wall that encouraged support and a twitter wall to track digital conversations. One-on-one interviews with various representatives of the Women, Children and Human Rights Commissions were also conducted. The security and multiple protocols along with the management of the entire event was taken care of by the Hansa team and well appreciated by the client.
