ICWF 2017 & GIWA 2017 Gives the Wedding Fraternity the Ultimate Experience at Andaz Delhi

With 450 delegates attending, the 5^th edition of the International Convention of the Wedding Fraternity (ICWF) witnessed the highest level of participation so far, taking place at Andaz Delhi, a luxury lifestyle hotel by Hyatt, from July 21 to 23. Also part of ICWF was the Great Indian Wedding Awards (GIWA) that celebrated excellence and outstanding performance across a wide range of categories.

ICWF is an initiative of a few like-minded professionals from the Indian Live industry, who have a passion for giving back and creating a world class platform. It presents a forum where pioneers, leaders, mature players, and fresh entrants get together to share their aspirations, accomplishments and achievements. They sit, talk, laugh, discuss, agree, disagree, strategize, and sketch out a framework that can act as a blueprint for future transformations. The headlines of these sessions are the priceless experiences and stories shared by some of the most innovative minds in wedding planning. The Co-conveners of ICWF are Samit Garg, Jaideep Singh, Mandeep Malhotra, Atul Nath, Rajesh Varma, Jai Thakore and Pritesh Sharma.

This year once again saw Gitikka Ganju Dhar host and write the content for the entire convention for the third time, as well as for GIWA.

While Day 1 saw was set aside for registrations and various networking events in the evening, Day 2 saw the conference begin with a welcome note by Samit Garg, followed by an address by Hedo Siebs, GM, Andaz Delhi. Sabbas Joseph then in his capacity as President of EEMA rendered the opening address, following which the rest of sessions proceeded.

Some of the top Indian and international speakers at ICWF this year were Colin Cowie, Tom Wolfe, Tomas De Bruyne, Sefa Yamak, Shiamak Davar, Jai Thakore, Benny Avisar, Ameya Dabli, Nitin Sood, and Emin Chakmak, Chairman and President, TITC. Session topics included Lifestyle in Wedding Design; In Vogue: Trends in the Realm of Weddings; Theatre in Bollywood Formats; There is Bengal Everywhere: Inspirations from the East; The Treasure of the Balkan; Be Different, Be Original: The Theory of Design; Art & Fashion in Food; From the Winner’s Table; Money Matters; Scholaring Talent; The Perfect Pictures are not so Perfect; and Monetisation in Weddings: To Be or Not to Be.

Once again ICWF was packed with outstanding entertainment by Vipin Aneja, Thaikudum Bridge, Shadab Faridi and Ash King.

GIWA 2017 received around 500 entries across 25 categories for wedding planners, wedding planning companies, vendors, and venues.
