Work Ventures Manages the Awaited Jeep Compass Roll Out to Perfection

The much-awaited Jeep Compass was unveiled in India on June 1, and it was a historic moment for the iconic Jeep brand as it was its first 'Made in India' model, the Compass SUV, from FCA Ranjangaon plant in Maharashtra. This facility is the mother plant for all right-hand-drive versions of the Compass SUV to be sold in India and in many international markets like Japan, UK, and a few others as well.  

The launch event managed to perfection by Work Ventures saw Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis driving the first ‘Made-in-India’ Jeep Compass out of the Fiat Chrysler Automobile (FCA)’s Ranjangaon assembly in Maharashtra.

Speaking about the launch, Kevin Flynn, President and Managing Director, FCA India said, “With the first locally made Jeep Compass rolling off the assembly line today we come even closer to the market launch and we are ready to deliver our go to the market strategy.”

The event started at 11 am with a grand welcome of the CM with the traditional art form of Puneri Dhol and Tutari followed by Tilak and garland ceremony. The whole pathway from which the CM arrived was covered with pylon standees of Compass and Jeep flags. There was also a tunnel setup curated by the agency which showcased the history of the brand.

Additionally, a CSR exhibit was done at the E&D building showcasing the noble work that Ranjangaon plant has undertaken for society. Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis shared his sentiments on the Jeep launch by tweeting,“We acknowledge the efforts & contribution of FCA for #JakYuktShivar Abhiyan towards the betterment of farmers & also for girl education via CSR.” He also tweeted “We are proud that this significant step towards @makeinindia is taken in Maharashtra as 80% parts of #JeepCompass will be manufactured here.”
