Three leading industry associations are set to converge at the WOW Convention Asia 2017, which will take place from July 6 to 8, across JW Mariott and Hotel Pullman New Delhi Aerocity, providing delegates with a plethora of networking and learning opportunities. The event will see delegations from The Event and Entertainment Management Association of India (EEMA), the International LIVE Events Association (ILEA) – Middle East chapter, and the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE).

EEMA, the apex association for the event and entertainment industry in India, will be highly visible at the WOW Awards and Convention Asia, hosting a range of sessions and workshops on July 7 and 8. EEMA will also play host to ILEA in a round-table that will explore best practices, opportunities of business, collaboration, joint initiatives and even a partner association relationship.

Commenting on the upcoming round table, Sabbas Joseph, President, EEMA said, “On behalf of EEMA I welcome the leadership of the ILEA MENA region to our country. We have both been creating exciting stories across the geographies, activating brands, engaging and entertaining audiences and consumers and developing an ecosystem that is sustainable. It would be a great opportunity for the leaders of our two industries to get together and explore joint initiatives, partnerships and opportunities of working together as a more global industry emerges. We have always admired each other’s work from across borders. The joint EEMA-ILEA round table on the side lines of the WOW Convention would definitely go a long way in breaking non-existent walls and building bridges to the future.”

ILEA’s presence at the event is expected to take forward synergies between the Indian event industry and that of the Middle East, especially the UAE. Dan Bolton, Director and Co-Founder of Dan Bolton Talent Management and Creative Consultancy is the incoming President of the ILEA Middle East Chapter, and will be attending the WOW Awards Asia 2017 with Lee Charteris, President, ILEA.

Talking about the significance of the Indian market in cross-region business, Bolton said, “The Indian market is a huge opportunity to the live events industry in the region so supporting the WOW Awards Asia is of great importance to us as the industry grows from strength to strength. With such a large and dynamic entertainment and events market only a few short hours flight time from hubs including Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha, the opportunities to cross support and link into business opportunities both in India and the GCC is significant for all our members.”

The objective of SITE’s association with EPEX 2017 and the WOW Awards and Convention Asia, is to gain access to SITE’s global membership and create better access for members to participate in EPEX. On the other hand, through EPEX‘s robust hosted buyer programme, SITE looks to enhance its awareness and the association’s benefits, garnering more memberships from this market.

It is SITE’s mission to strengthen and inspire the extraordinary Incentive industry. With India’s growing strength in this industry, there will be a host of benefits planners from this region can gain through engagement with SITE members from global markets. Commenting on the association, Rajeev Kohli, President, SITE  said, “Having been a member of SITE for over 10 years, I have experienced the value of being involved in  SITE’s global network.  Now serving my second year as President of the association, I encourage my fellow Indian colleagues to utilize SITE to grow their brands and businesses like I have been able to do.”

The event will see delegations from The Event and Entertainment Management Association of India, the International LIVE Events Association, and the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence.
